Abstract

Cette invention décrit une composition styrènique ignifugée sans halogène à base de polymère vinyle aromatique de préférence résistant aux chocs, de polyphènylène éther, de composés phosphorés et de résine phénolique. La composition de l'invention présente, grâce au choix judicieux du polymère vinyle aromatique et d'un bon équilibre dans le choix et les proportions des autres additifs, des caractéristiques de transformations, notamment d'injectabilité, permettant la mise en forme d'une pièce finie à forme complexe ayant à la fois des bonnes propriétés mécaniques, thermiques et une bonne résistance au feu. La composition de l'invention est utile dans diverses applications et en particulier dans les coffrets de télévision, la bureautique, la téléphonie, l'électrique.
