合成樹脂製保持器およびこの保持器を用いた玉軸受
技術分野
[0001] この発明は、主として高速回転用玉軸受内に組込まれる合成樹脂製保持器と、こ の合成樹脂製保持器を用いた玉軸受に関するものである。
背景技術
[0002] 高速回転用玉軸受の合成樹脂製保持器として特許文献 1に記載されたものが従来 力 知られている。
[0003] 上記特許文献 1に記載された合成樹脂製保持器にお!ヽては、合成樹脂の成形品 力 成る 2枚の環状体の一側面にボールの外周に沿う複数の半球状のポケットを周 方向に等間隔に設け、隣接するポケット間の結合部には係合孔と、その係合孔の保 持器周方向の一側に係合爪とを設け、上記係合爪を他方の環状体の係合孔に挿入 して 2枚の環状体を結合一体ィ匕するようにして 、る。

発明の開示
発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0004] ところで、上記従来の保持器においては、 2枚の環状体が合成樹脂の成形品であ るため、成形後の収縮や変形によって設計された寸法の成形品を得ることが困難で ある。このような成形上の問題点を解消し、また、保持器の組立て性を考慮して、従 来の保持器では、係合爪の保持器径方向の幅寸法を係合孔の保持器径方向の幅 寸法より小さくしている。
[0005] このため、係合孔に対する係合爪の係合により 2枚の環状体を結合して保持器を組 立てた場合に、係合爪と係合孔の相互間に保持器径方向のすきまが形成されること になる。その結果、玉軸受に対する保持器の組付け状態において、玉軸受が回転し 、複数のボールの遅れ、進みにより上記保持器に径方向の負荷が付与されると、係 合爪と係合孔の相互間に形成された径方向すきま分だけ環状体が部分的に弾性変 形して、係合孔と係合爪の係合部で摺動が生じ、その摺動により上記係合部に摩耗 が生じて以下のような問題が発生する。
[0006] すなわち、係合爪の係合部の摩耗によりガタが発生して、保持器の組合わせ幅寸 法やボールを保持するポケットの径が大きくなり、保持器に許容される軸方向および 径方向の動き量が増加する。それにより、環状体が外輪、内輪あるいは軸受シール 等の他部品に干渉して、接触での摩擦により発熱が生じて軸受温度が上昇し、潤滑 用グリースが劣化し易くなる。また、接触部において摩耗粉が発生し、その摩耗粉が ボールと内、外輪の転走面の接触部に嚙み込んで軸受寿命を低下させると共に、異 音を発生させるおそれがある。
[0007] この発明の課題は、係合爪と係合孔の係合部での摩耗を防止し、その摩耗による 軸受寿命の低下等の問題点の発生を未然に防止することができるようにした合成榭 脂製保持器を提供することである。
課題を解決するための手段
[0008] 上記の課題を解決するために、この発明においては、合成樹脂の成形品から成る 2 枚の環状体を有し、各環状体の互いに衝合される一側面にボールの外周に沿う複 数の半球状のポケットを周方向に等間隔に形成し、隣接するポケット間に形成された 結合部には係合孔と、他方の環状体の係合孔に対する挿入によって 2枚の環状体が 結合状態とされる係合爪とを設けた合成樹脂製保持器にぉ ヽて、前記係合孔とその 係合孔に挿入される係合爪の相互間に、係合孔に係合爪を挿入する保持器の組立 て初期に保持器径方向にすきまが存在し、組立て完了時に保持器径方向のすきま 力 SO以下となるはめ合い関係をもたせた構成を採用して 、る。
[0009] ここで、前記はめ合い関係をもたせる手段として、下記の (I)乃至 (III)の構成か ら成るものを採用することができる。
(I)前記係合爪の保持器径方向の幅寸法を係合孔の保持器径方向の幅寸法以上と し、係合爪の保持器径方向の両側面先端部に係合爪の先端を小端面とするテーパ 面を形成した構成から成るもの。
(II)前記係合爪の保持器径方向の幅寸法を前記係合孔の保持器径方向の幅寸法 以上とし、前記係合孔の前記係合爪が挿入される入口部の両側面を入口側に至る に従って対向間隔が次第に大きくなるテーパ面とした構成力 成るもの。 (III)前記係合爪の保持器径方向の幅寸法を前記係合孔の保持器径方向の幅寸法 より小さくし、その係合爪と係合孔の保持器周方向で対向する対向面の一方に保持 器軸方向に延びる係合溝を設け、他方にその係合溝にしまりばめのはめ合!、をもつ て嵌合される係合突部を設け、前記係合溝の前記係合突部が嵌合される入口部の 保持器径方向で対向する側面と係合突部の保持器径方向の両側面先端部の少なく とも一方にテーパ面を形成した構成力 成るもの。
[0010] この合成樹脂製保持器は、次の構成を加えるとより好ましいものとなる。
1)ポリアミド 46を母材とし、繊維状の強化材を 10〜40重量%配合した複合材料で 前記 2枚の環状体を形成する。
2)ポリアミド 66を母材とし、繊維状の強化材を 10〜40%重量配合した複合材料で 前記 2枚の環状体を形成する。
3)ポリフエ-レンサルファイドを母材とし、繊維状の強化材を 10〜40重量%含配合 した複合材料で前記 2枚の環状体を形成する。
4)前記 2枚の環状体をポリイミドで形成する。
5)前記 2枚の環状体をポリエーテルエーテルケトンで形成する。
[0011] 繊維状の強化材としては、たとえば、ガラス繊維、カーボン繊維、ァラミド繊維、チタ ン酸カリウム繊維、アルミナ繊維、炭化ケィ素繊維、アルミニウム繊維、ボロン繊維な どを用いることができる。これらの繊維は、 1種類だけを用いてもよぐ 2種類以上組み 合わせたものを強化材として用いてもょ 、。
[0012] また、外輪と内輪の間に組み込まれた複数のボールを上述した合成樹脂製保持器 で保持し、前記外輪と内輪の間に形成される環状空間を軸受シールで密閉し、その 環状空間にグリースを封入した玉軸受を構成することができる。この発明では、その 玉軸受もあわせて提供する。
発明の効果
[0013] 上記のように、保持器の組立て初期における係合孔と係合爪のはめ合いを保持器 径方向にすきまが存在するはめ合いとすることによって、複数の係合孔のそれぞれ に係合爪を容易に挿入することができ、保持器の組立ての容易化を図ることができる [0014] また、保持器の組立て完了時における係合孔と係合爪のはめ合いを保持器径方向 のすきま力^以下となるはめ合いとすることによって、保持器に付与される径方向の負 荷により、係合爪と係合孔の係合部で摺動が生じるのを防止することができる。このた め、係合部での発熱による玉軸受の温度上昇を抑制することができると共に、摩耗の 発生を防止し、その摩耗粉の嚙み込みによる軸受寿命の低下や異音の発生を防止 することができる。

発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0017] 以下、この発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。図 1乃至図 6に、この発 明の第 1の実施形態を示す。この玉軸受は、外輪 Aと、内輪 Aと、外輪 Aと内輪 A
1 2 1 2 の間に組み込まれた複数のボール Bと、ボール Bを保持する保持器 Cとを有する。保 持器 Cは、図 3乃至図 5に示すように 2枚の環状体 1、 1から成り、各環状体 1は合成 榭脂により成形されて同一の形状とされている。また、外輪 Aと内輪 Aの間に形成さ

れた環状空間は、図 1に示すように軸受シール Dで密閉され、グリースが封入されて いる。
[0018] 図 2乃至図 4に示すように、環状体 1は複数の半球状のボール保持部 2と、複数の 板状の結合部 3とを有し、上記ボール保持部 2と結合部 3は周方向に交互に形成さ れ、各ボール保持部 2に環状体 1の一側面で開口するポケット 4が設けられている。 ポケット 4の内面はボール Bの外周に沿う半球面とされて 、る。

[0022] 上記の構成力も成る環状体 1において、その 2枚の環状体 1、 1をポケット 4が向き合 うよう軸方向に対向配置すると、一方の環状体 1に形成された複数の係合爪 6が他方 の環状体 1に形成された係合孔 5と対向する。そこで、 2枚の環状体 1、 1を互に接近 する方向に移動させると、係合爪 6が係合孔 5内に侵入し始め、上記 2枚の環状体 1 、 1をその側面が衝合するまで相対移動させると、係合爪 6の鈎部 8が係合段部 7に 係合し、 2枚の環状体 1、 1が結合一体ィ匕されて保持器 Cが組立てられる。
[0023] この保持器 Cを採用する玉軸受の組立てに際しては、外輪 Aと内輪 Aの間に保持

[0025] このため、軸受回転時のボール Bの遅れ、進みによって保持器 Cに軸方向の負荷 が付与されたとしても、係合爪 6の鈎部 8と係合孔 5の係合段部 7の係合部で摺動が 生じるということはなぐ上記係合部での発熱による玉軸受の温度上昇を抑制すること ができる。

[0042] 繊維状の強化材としては、たとえばガラス繊維、カーボン繊維、ァラミド繊維、チタン 酸カリウム繊維、アルミナ繊維、炭化ケィ素繊維、アルミニウム繊維、ボロン繊維など を用いることができる力 特にガラス繊維、カーボン繊維、ァラミド繊維が好ましい。こ れらの繊維は、 2種類以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。

[0044] また、これらの繊維は、シラン系、チタン系、またはアルミニウム系のカップリング剤 で表面処理を施して、ポリシァノアリールエーテルとの親和性を向上させると好ましい 。このようにすると、繊維とポリシァノアリールエーテルとの結合が促進され、保持器 C の強度が向上する。

[0047] PA46を母材とすると、 PA66を母材とした場合よりも耐熱性および耐久性に優れた 保持器を得ることできるが、 PA46を母材とする場合は、ゴム状弾性を有するエラスト マを配合すると好ましい。これにより軸受への保持器 Cの組み込みが容易となる。ェ ラストラマとしては、エチレンプロピレンゴムが好適であり、その配合量は 2〜 10重量 %が好ましぐ 2〜6重量0 /0とすると更に好ましい。エチレンプロピレンゴムの配合量を 2重量%以上とすると、保持器 Cの良好な組み込み性を確保することができ、ェチレ ンプロピレンゴムの配合量を 10重量0 /0以下、より好ましくは 6重量0 /0以下とすることに より、エチレンプロピレンゴムを配合することによる耐熱性および成形性の低下を抑え ることがでさる。
[0048] 環状体 1の形成は、たとえば次のようにして行なうことができる。 [0049] PA46または PA66のペレットと繊維状の強化材をミキサーにてドライブレンドし、二 軸押出機等により 350〜400°C、好ましくは 360〜380°Cで溶融混練してペレツトイ匕 する。得られたペレットを、榭脂温度 350〜390°C、金型温度 150〜230°Cの条件で 射出成形して環状体 1を形成する。
[0050] また、 PA46または PA66のペレットと繊維状の強化材をミキサーにてドライブレンド したものを、ラム押出機等で円柱状や円筒状の成形品とし、得られた成形品を切削 加工して環状体 1を形成してもよい。
[0051] また、環状体 1を形成する複合材料に、熱安定剤、固体潤滑剤、潤滑油、着色剤、 帯電防止剤、離型材、流動性改良材、結晶化促進剤などを添加してもよい。
[0052] 同様に、上述の第 1実施形態から第 4実施形態の保持器を構成する 2枚の環状体 1、 1は、ポ-フエ-レンサルファイド(以下「PPS」という)を母材とし、繊維状の強化材 を 10〜40重量%配合した複合材料で形成してもよ 、。母材として PPSを用いると、 母材として PAを用いた場合よりも耐熱性に優れ、しかも耐油性、耐薬品性に優れた 保持器を得ることができる。特に直鎖型 PPSを用いると、架橋型 PPSを用いる場合よ りも保持器の靱性が高くなり好ましい。強化材は、その配合量を 10重量%以上とする と、 PPSの量を減らして保持器のコストを下げることができ、 40重量%以下とすると、 保持器の変形能を確保して組み立て時における係合爪 6の破損を防止することがで きる。
[0053] 強化材としてカーボン繊維を用いるときは、その配合量を 20〜35重量%とすると特 に好ましい。
[0054] 強化材として用いるガラス繊維は、平均繊維径が 5〜20 mのものが好ましぐまた 平均繊維長さが 0. 2〜lmmのものを用いるとより好まし!/、。
[0055] 環状体 1を形成する複合材料には、 10〜25重量%の無機フィラーを添加してもよく 、これにより PPSの量を減らして保持器 Cのコストを下げることができる。添力卩量を 10 重量%以上とすると増量剤としての効果を確実に得ることができ、添加量を 25重量 %以下とすると保持器の成形が容易となる。無機フイラ一としては、たとえば炭酸カル シゥムの 10 μ m以下の粉体や、粒体を挙げることができる。
[0056] また、環状体 1を形成する複合材料に、有機強化材、潤滑剤、可塑剤、難燃剤など を添加してもよい。
[0057] 同様に、上述の第 1実施形態から第 4実施形態の保持器を構成する 2枚の環状体 1、 1は、ポリイミド(以下「PI」という)またはポリエーテルエーテルケトン(以下「PEEK 」と ヽぅ)を母材とし、繊維状の強化材を 10〜40重量%配合した複合材料で形成して もよい。母材として PIまたは PEEKを用いると、母材として PAを用いたときよりも耐熱 性に優れ、 150°Cを超える高温環境下でも使用することができる。強化材は、その配 合量を 10重量%以上とすると、 Pほたは PEEKの量を減らして保持器のコストを下げ ることができ、 40重量%以下とすると、保持器の変形能を確保して組み立て時におけ る係合爪 6の破損を防止することができる。
[0058] 強化材としてガラス繊維を用いるときは、その配合量を 20〜40重量%とすると特に 好ましぐ 20〜35重量%とすると更に好ましい。またカーボン繊維を用いるときは、そ の配合量を 20〜30重量%とすると特に好ましい。

[1] 合成樹脂の成形品から成る 2枚の環状体を有し、各環状体の互いに衝合される一 側面にボールの外周に沿う複数の半球状のポケットを周方向に等間隔に形成し、隣 接するポケット間に形成された結合部には係合孔と、他方の環状体の係合孔に対す る挿入によって 2枚の環状体が結合状態とされる係合爪とを設けた合成樹脂製保持 器において、前記係合孔とその係合孔に挿入される係合爪の相互間に、係合孔に 係合爪を挿入する保持器の組立て初期に保持器径方向にすきまが存在し、組立て 完了時に保持器径方向のすきまが 0以下となるはめ合い関係をもたせたことを特徴と する合成樹脂製保持器。
[2] 前記はめ合!ヽ関係をもたせる手段が、前記係合爪の保持器径方向の幅寸法を係 合孔の保持器径方向の幅寸法以上とし、係合爪の保持器径方向の両側面先端部に 係合爪の先端を小端面とするテーパ面を形成した構成力 成る請求項 1に記載の合 成樹脂製保持器。
[3] 前記はめ合い関係をもたせる手段が、前記係合爪の保持器径方向の幅寸法を前 記係合孔の保持器径方向の幅寸法以上とし、前記係合孔の前記係合爪が挿入され る入口部の両側面を入口側に至るに従って対向間隔が次第に大きくなるテーパ面と した構成から成る請求項 1に記載の合成樹脂製保持器。
[4] 前記はめ合!ヽ関係をもたせる手段が、前記係合爪の保持器径方向の幅寸法を前 記係合孔の保持器径方向の幅寸法より小さくし、その係合爪と係合孔の保持器周方 向で対向する対向面の一方に保持器軸方向に延びる係合溝を設け、他方にその係 合溝にしまりばめのはめ合いをもって嵌合される係合突部を設け、前記係合溝の前 記係合突部が嵌合される入口部の保持器径方向で対向する側面と係合突部の保持 器径方向の両側面先端部の少なくとも一方にテーパ面を形成した構成カゝら成る請求 項 1に記載の合成樹脂製保持器。
[5] ポリアミド 46を母材とし、繊維状の強化材を 10〜40重量%配合した複合材料で前 記 2枚の環状体を形成した請求項 1〜4のいずれかに記載の合成樹脂製保持器。
[6] ポリアミド 66を母材とし、繊維状の強化材を 10〜40重量%配合した複合材料で前 記 2枚の環状体を形成した請求項 1〜4のいずれかに記載の合成樹脂製保持器。
[7] ポリフエ-レンサルファイドを母材とし、繊維状の強化材を 10〜40重量%配合した 複合材料で前記 2枚の環状体を形成した請求項 1〜4のいずれかに記載の合成榭 脂製保持器。
[8] 前記 2枚の環状体をポリイミドで形成した請求項 1〜4の 、ずれかに記載の合成榭 脂製保持器。
[9] 前記 2枚の環状体をポリエーテルエーテルケトンで形成した請求項 1〜4の 、ずれ かに記載の合成樹脂製保持器。
[10] 外輪と内輪の間に複数のボールとそのボールを保持する保持器とを組み込み、前 記外輪と内輪の間に形成される環状空間を軸受シールで密閉し、その環状空間にグ リースを封入した玉軸受において、前記保持器として請求項 1から 9のいずれかに記 載の合成樹脂製保持器を用いた玉軸受。
