Abstract

Die Erfindung betriff ein Verfahren zum Beschichten einer Oberfläche (3, 4) eines länglichen Profilelementes (1) aus einem elastomeren Werkstoff, insbesondere eines Handlaufes für eine Rolltreppe oder einen Rollsteig, bei dem auf die Oberfläche (3, 4) des Profilelementes (1), gegebenenfalls nach einer Vorbehandlung zur Vorbreitung der Oberfläche (3, 4) für die Beschichtung, zumindest eine Deckschicht (8) aus einem vernetzbaren Beschichtungsmaterial aufgetragen wird. Vor der Vernetzung der Deckschicht (8) wird zumindest eine Zwischenschicht (9) aus einem filmbildenden, insbesondere vernetzbaren, Beschichtungsmaterial aufgebracht, die zusammen mit der Deckschicht (8) ausgehärtet wird.
