Definitions
- the invention relates to a container for receiving at least one dry ice particle and to a method for cooling a beverage in a container using the container filled with dry ice.
- the cooling capacity of dry ice is about 640 kJ / kg when heated from -79 0 C to 0 0 C. This corresponds to 3.3 times the cooling capacity of conventional ice, ie the beverage in which the dry ice is located is cooled accordingly.
- Evaporation of dry ice does not produce any liquid which leads to a dilution of the beverage.
- Dry ice is odorless and tasteless as well as inhibiting bacteria.
- Dry ice If dry ice is added to drinks, they are effectively cooled without watering down. Dry ice can also be used in countries where conventional ice cream should not be used to cool drinks due to contaminated water.
- the cold, humid mist is heavier than the ambient air, it spreads above the liquid level and increasingly fills the vessel until the mist wafts over the edge of the vessel. At the same time, the dry ice causes bubbling and hissing of the liquid.
- This occurring mist effect is an eye-catcher, which arouses surprise and curiosity and can encourage the purchase.
- Dry ice (-79 0 C) is very cold. Direct contact with unprotected skin, eg mouth, can cause serious cold frost, ie dry ice must not come into direct contact with it.
- Dry ice can not be stored for a long time. Depending on the place of residence or time, it is more or less difficult for the consumer to obtain dry ice.
- Special drinking vessels protect the user from direct contact with the dry ice. This is achieved by enclosing the dry ice in a chamber delimited from the rest of the drinking vessel - in a glass, for example, by means of an intermediate bottom with holes. This ensures that only the drink, but not the user, comes into contact with the dry ice.
- the drinking vessels are manually equipped with dry ice. Depending on the size of the chamber of the drinking vessel, the dry ice must first be comminuted, whereby a direct contact with the dry ice is possible and thus there is a risk of cold burns.
- the invention has for its object to solve both the safety and economic disadvantages of today's applications of dry ice in beverages.
- a container for receiving at least one dry ice particle in which the container is a cage-like structure with openings.
- the container is a cage-like structure with openings.
- a minimum dimension of each of the openings is less than 5 mm, more preferably less than 3 mm.
- the container has slot-like openings.
- the container has a closable by a closure filling opening through which at least one dry ice particles can be filled into the container.
- the dry ice particles usually present as pellets can thus be securely sealed in the container.
- the container is integrally formed. This will prevent container parts from being lost prior to assembly.
- the container closure can be a closure cap shaped in a complementary manner to the filling opening, which is hinged to the container at a first edge region of the filling opening and can be latched to a second edge region of the filling opening.
- a closure cap is articulated via a flexible connection region which extends between the edge of the filling opening and the closure cap of the container.
- the container may also be formed in several pieces.
- the container preferably has a first container piece with a first container wall region delimited by a first edge and a second container piece with a second container wall region bounded by a second edge, wherein the course of the first edge and the course of the second edge to each other are complementary and each have latching formations, with which the first container piece and the second container piece along their edges are latched to each other.
- Particularly preferred is a special embodiment in which the wall of the container with respect to a point and / or a straight line and / or a plane inside the container is symmetrical and in which the first container piece and the second container piece have an identical shape.
- it requires only a single variety of container pieces, which can then always be paired together to form a container according to the invention.
- the first container piece may be a container with a filling opening
- the second container piece may be a filling cap complementary to the filling opening, which can be inserted from the outside into the filling opening and latched in a first edge region of the filling opening and in a second edge region of the filling opening. This ensures a secure hold between the cap and the container.
- the container may be cylindrical, pyramidal, conical or spherical at least in a partial region.
- the container or the first and / or the second container piece are preferably stackable.
- the container according to the invention is dimensioned so that it fits into a drinking glass or fits through the neck of a bottle.
- the container is attached to a stirring rod.
- the container with the trapped dry ice in the beverage can be moved.
- the upper end of the stir bar can be e.g. can be customized with ornaments and / or inscriptions.
- the container has a device for receiving the stirring rod.
- the stirring rod end and the receiving device are preferably latched into one another.
- a further step may be taken, namely a step e) of moving the container filled with the at least one dry ice particle in the beverage in the vessel, moving the container in step e) by moving the vessel and / or or by moving the container in the vessel.
- Fig. A shows an embodiment of the dry ice container according to the invention.
- the dry ice When used, the dry ice is enclosed in a container [3].
- the container [3] is attached to a stirring rod [1] and together with the stirring rod [1] forms a unit as a beverage stirring rod with container.
- the beverage stirrer with container is designed in such a way that the container [3] can be filled with bought dry ice or with dry ice, which can be produced on site with an apparatus, and then closed.
- the container [3] has openings [4], which are permeable to the drink, but not for the dry ice. Thus, only the drink and not the user comes into contact with the dry ice.
- the container [3] is e.g. by clicking on or screwing on the stirring rod [1] attached.
- the containers [3] can be stacked to save space and are thus easy to handle.
- the container closure [5] is attached to the container [3].
- the container [3] with dry ice must not be opened for safety reasons, as long as there is dry ice in the container [3].
- the container [3] has a device [2] for receiving the stirring rod [1].
- the container [3] can only be removed from the stirring rod [1] by hand or with a tool (for example a knife, etc.).
- the stirring rod [1] should prevent the blowing and swallowing of the container [3].
- the upper end of the stir bar [1] is variable, i. Various motifs or logos can be attached.
- the stirring rod [1] can be used several times.
