Definitions

  • the invention relates to a fitting set for sliding doors, with an upper and a lower door fitting, which are to be fastened to a support structure and by which the sliding door is slidably supported on the support structure.
  • the invention relates to a piece of furniture, such as a kitchen wall unit, with such a fitting set.
  • the door opening is usually closed by two sliding doors, which are arranged in slightly staggered planes, so that they can move past each other when opening.
  • two sliding doors in the closed position lie flush in a common plane.
  • this can only be achieved with very complex fittings which control the movement of the sliding door so that it initially performs a translational movement in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the door opening and only then a translational movement parallel to the plane of the door opening to the Door opening release.
  • fittings are relatively expensive and difficult to assemble.
  • flaps are also often used in kitchen wall units, which are opened by a horizontal opening Swing the axle. Also in this case, however, a relatively complex fitting is required so that the flap remains in the open position in an accessible height for the user, so that they can be easily closed again. Smaller people, however, still have difficulty closing the flap, even then.

  • the common sliding door fittings for furniture and also for buildings have upper and lower slide guides, which extend along the support structure (which in the case of furniture is formed by the furniture body) and are rigidly held on the support structure.
  • the length of the sliding guides must be at least about twice the width of the door opening, so that the support structure must have correspondingly large dimensions.
  • the disadvantage is that the far beyond the door opening addition reaching parts of the sliding guides affect the appearance, if they are not blinded by costly measures.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a fitting and a piece of furniture with which can avoid the above-mentioned disadvantages.
  • each pull-out guide has at one end a mounting bracket which is connected by a hinge to the pull-out guide.
  • the mounting brackets are to be attached to the support structure such that the extension guides are pivotable relative to the support structure about a common vertical axis.
  • the door is then pivotable about the vertical axis between a closed pivot position and an open pivot position, and when the extension guides are in the open pivot position, the door is slidable to the position where it releases the door opening bridged by the extension guides ,
  • the door In a furniture with such a fitting, the door is in the closed pivot position flush with adjacent furniture front elements immediately in front of the door opening, and it is oriented parallel to the plane of the door opening, so that it closes this door opening.
  • the pull-out guides and the door are first pivoted about the vertical axis to the open-pivot position.

  • This solution has the advantage that the door forms only a small angle with the plane of the door opening, even in the open position, and thus does not protrude far into the room. Regardless of the size of the user, the door is always easy to reach and operate. Due to the flush position of the door in the closed position, a visually appealing appearance is achieved. To increase the ease of use can be provided for one or both sliding end positions of the door conventional retracting damper, which pull the door damped as in known sliding doors in their respective end position. • the weight of the sliding door can be better absorbed in the open position and the bending moment acting on the pull-out guide can be reduced.
  • a dead center mechanism may be provided which biases the extension guides, when in the vicinity of the closed pivot position, into the closed pivot position and, when pivoted against the bias in the open pivot position, continues to override a dead center biased in the opening pivot position.
