Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zur Überwachung des Blasenfüllstandes eines Patienten, bei dem mehrere, insbesondere mehr als vier Elektroden (4) an der Körperoberfläche eines Patienten (1) um die Blase des Patienten (1) herum angeordnet werden und durch wenigstens ein Paar von zwei Elektroden (4) ein durch den Körper fließender Wechselstrom eingespeist wird, wobei an mehreren Elektroden (4) ein jeweiliger Wechselspannungsmeßwert erfasst wird, wobei die Wechselspannungsmeßwerte selbst oder wenigstens ein daraus berechneter Ergebniswert ein Maß für den Blasenfüllstand bildet, insbesondere wobei nach einem Vergleich des Maßes mit wenigstens einem Vergleichswert ein Warnsignal erzeugt wird.
