Abstract

본 발명은 발광 다이오드 패키지 및 그것을 갖는 디스플레이 장치에 관한 것으로, 발광 다이오드 칩; 상기 발광 다이오드 칩의 상면에 배치되고, 상기 발광 다이오드 칩에서 방출된 광의 적어도 일부를 반사하는 반사부; 및 상기 발광 다이오드 칩 및 반사부의 상면 및 측면을 덮도록 배치된 몰딩부를 포함하는 발광 다이오드 패키지를 제공한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 디스플레이 장치에 이용되는 백라이트 유닛의 광원으로 발광 다이오드 칩 상에 반사부가 배치되고 몰딩부로 감싸진 발광 다이오드 패키지를 이용함으로써, 별도의 렌즈를 이용하지 않아도 직하형 백라이트 유닛으로 이용할 수 있다.
