Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Kolben (1) einer Brennkraftmaschine mit einem eine Mittelachse M aufweisenden Kolbenmantel (1.1) und einem den Kolbenmantel (1.1) nach oben begrenzenden Kolbenboden (2) mit einem Durchmesser D. Der Kol­ benboden (2) ist gebildet aus einem Kolbenbodenrand (2.1) einer Breite b und einer Kolbenbodenmulde (2.2) mit einer Tiefe t. Die Kolbenbodenmulde (2.2) kann eine Kolbenmuldenwand (2.2a) mit ei­ nem Öffnungsquerschnitt mit einem Durchmesser (d) aufweisen. Innerhalb des Kolbenbodenrandes (2.1) kann mindestens eine in Umfangsrichtung U zur Mittelachse M verlaufende Nut (3) mit einem Innendurchmesser dn vorgesehen und der Innendurchmesser dn größer als der Durchmesser d sein.
