Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Process for the representation of lightfast colored lacquers.
It has been found that the diazotized p-aminobenzophenone and 2-naphthol-6-monosulfonic acid or 2-naphthol-3,6-disulfonic acid are particularly suitable for the production of paints.
Both dyes show very good precipitability. The sparingly soluble and therefore used in dough form dye from 2-naphthol-6-monosulfonic acid forms a vivid orange when precipitated as a lime or barite varnish, while the more easily soluble dye from 2-naphthol-3,6-disulphonic acid forms a very clear, blue-red varnish arises. Both combine excellent lightfastness with good waterfastness. 0
Example.
100 parts of barite are stirred into a solution of 20 parts of alumina sulfuric acid in 1200 parts of hot water. To this you add the boiling solution of 6 parts of the dye of diazotized p-aminobenzophenone and 2-naphthol-3,6-disulfo-acid and 10 parts of calcined soda in 1000 parts of water, bring the whole thing back to the boil and then add the hot solution 30 parts of crystallized chlorobarium
EMI1.1
filtered and washed out. The paint shows a bluish red.
The dye is precipitated from diazotized p-aminobenzophenone and 2-naphthol-6-sulfonic acid in the same way. For complete implementation of the sparingly soluble dye, it is only necessary to boil for longer at the end.
