Improvements to the fiber wind flares.

The invention relates to wind flares, in the manufacture of which a combustible fiber material is impregnated with substances that are able to produce a luminous flame.

The wind torches used for occasional work have hitherto been made from ropes (used or damaged ropes are usually used) that have been soaked with a fatty substance, sometimes with rosin alone. These torches give off a reddish light and produce a lot of smoke; to them anraia. chcn, they often have to be shaken and hit against a solid object.

They cannot be used in closed rooms because they pollute the air by developing thick and inhalable smoke; In addition, the price of resin torches has risen sharply lately, so that they are not only very expensive due to their low efficiency and their rapid consumption, but are also very high in and of themselves due to their expensive purchase price.

The torches according to the present invention remedy the abovementioned assistants. They also consist of a fibrous base material, such as hemp, jure and the like, which, however, is impregnated with a mixture made from a fatty substance and pulverized lime compounds instead of just rosin or a fatty substance. This mix can

Stearin, paraffin and the like from 50 to 70 parts; Lime compounds, preferably slaked lime from 4U to 60 parts. The eventual addition of Brasiham's solar charcoal can be done in a ratio of 5 to 2U parts.

To make the torches one melts the fatty substances in a water bath and when they do
