"CARBURATEUR"

"CARBURETOR"
The present patent application relates to a carburetor for internal combustion engines such as automobile engines or the like, characterized in that the main jet comprises a double braking by air, that is to say an inlet. outside air slows down the gasoline jet at its birth while a second outside air inlet braked in its turn, the mixture a little before the outlet of the nozzle holder tube opening into the diffuser at the same time as it provides, the amount of air required in idling the engine. In the diffuser itself, the strongly carburized air jet is further slowed down when it leaves the nozzle holder tube by the adjustment of the air column acting on the jet head.

In order to bring out the above statement more clearly, the drawing appended for explanatory purposes represents a section in elevation in a carburetor along the axis of the sioleurs (main and idle) show the means used to arrive. to the result as discussed above.
For this purpose i represents the body of the carburettor, 2 the constant level tank, 3 the fuel inlet pipe of
EMI2.1
the tank 8, of the nozzle holder tube called # 9 last containing the nozzle holder 5 terminated at your base by the proe nozzle advocating said 6
The body 1 has an air inlet 7 opening into the annular space 8 from which the air entering through the holes 9 of the nozzle holder tube 4, and the holes 10 of the nozzle holder slows the exit of the jet d 'gasoline or other fuel emerging from the orifice of the nozzle itself 6, and enters the axial perforation 15.
EMI2.2
Another air inlet 1 ±, arrived at i2 and passes through the orifices 13 and 14 respectively of the nozzle holder tube 4 and of the nozzle holder 5 enters the axial orifice in5 where it slows down the rise of the carbureted jet finally opening in 18 in the diffuser through the central channel 15 of the nozzle holder 5.
EMI2.3
This air inlet Il is unique as shown, with the duct 1 ± or opens the chamber 20 housing the idle jet loss 21.
The latter is screwed into the body 1 by the upper part.

<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The operation is easy to understand and is explained as follows.
When idling, the level of gasoline supplied from channel 3 through orifices 27 / is established along line xy and the outside air entering through 11, 12, 13, 14 licks gasoline is carburized and finally arrives at 20, or at 23 and 24, it opens into the connection pipe * As soon as the carburettor adjustment throttle (not shown) opens, the main or power jet comes into play and the carbureted let penetrates by 15 in the diffuser in marl time that the air inlet in 7 which slows down the flow of the nozzle 6 at its base.
Thus, running the engine under load paralyzes the action of the idle jet carrier 21.
In this way, a carburetor is obtained which gives great fuel economy while retaining the engine's flexibility in pick-ups and in the various operating speeds.
It goes without saying that the OP can provide other details or constructive modalities without departing from the object of the invention which is specifically aimed at the arrangement of a nozzle holder tube, a gioleur holder housed in the firstù, in combination with two independent air inlets whose roles have been explained in the above.
