   La nouveau composé forme des sels avec les   aoides     inorganique   ou organiques. Comme acides capables de former des sels, on envisage par exemple : les hydracides   halogènes,        les acides sulfurique, phosphorique, azotique, perchlorique des acides carboxyliques ou   sulfoniques   aliphatiques, ali- cycliques, aromatiques ou   hétérooyoliques,   comme les acides formique, acétique,   propioniquo,   oxalique, succinique,   glyco-   lique, lactique, malique, tartrique, citrique, ascorbique,   hydroxymaléique,     dihydroxymaléique   ou   pyruvique;

     les acides phénylaoétique, benzoique, p-amino-benzoique, anthranilique, p-hydroxybenzoiqje salicylique ou p-aminosalicylique les acides méthane-sulfonique,, étane-sulfonique hydroxy=étan- ne-sulfonique, éthylène-sulfonique; les acides toluène- sulfonques, naphtalène-sulfoniques ou l'acide sulfanilique.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 6>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 8>

 EXEMPLE 2

The new compound exhibits an interesting central nervous system excitation effect with an extraordinary distribution of the points of attack on the central nervous system. It can therefore be used to increase the functions of the central nervous system, for example in the case of states of depression of the central nervous system.

   The new compound is obtained according to methods known in itself. Thus it is possible, for example, in hydrazine, its salts or derivatives containing residues which can be easily cleaved by

The reduction can in particular be carried out in aqueous solution with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst, for example finely divided platinum.

   It is also possible to react a reactive ester

 those of the derivatives of the starting substances which, under the conditions of the reaction, are converted into the starting substances indicated.

   The new compound forms salts with inorganic or organic aids. As acids capable of forming salts, the following are envisaged, for example: halogenated hydracids, sulfuric, phosphoric, nitrogen, perchloric acids, aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic or heterooyolic carboxylic or sulphonic acids, such as formic, acetic, propionic acids, oxalic, succinic, glycolic, lactic, malic, tartaric, citric, ascorbic, hydroxymaleic, dihydroxymaleic or pyruvic;

  The salts obtained can be converted into the free bases in a manner known per se.
The new alkyl hydrazine. salts, salts or mixtures thereof may, for example, be used in the form of pharmaceutical preparations comprising the indicated compounds in admixture with a pharmaceutical carrier material, organic or inorganic, suitable for enteral or parenteral application.

   For the formation

 alcohols ben - Im, 1-4-qtl-eeg gums, polyalkylene glycols, cholesterin or other known excipients. The pharmaceutical preparations can be presented, for example, in the form of tablets, dragees, or in liquid form in the form of solutions, suspensions or emulsions.

   Where appropriate, they are sterilized and / or contain auxiliary substances such as preservatives, stabilizers, wetting agents or emulsifiers.

  They may also contain still other therapeutically valuable substances. The preparations are obtained according to usual methods.

   The invention also embraces the variants of the process in which one starts from a compound obtained as an intermediate product at any stage of the process and carries out the phases still missing from said process, or interrupts the latter at any one of its stages.

   The invention also relates, as new industrial products, to the compounds obtained by carrying out the process defined above *.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 7>

   The invention is described in more detail in the non-limiting examples which follow, in which the temperatures are indicated in degrees centigrade.

     EXAMPLE 1
To a solution of 200 g of hydrazino hydrate in 400 cm 3 of abnormal hydrochloric acid is added, with stirring, at room temperature, 400 g of methyl-isobuthlketone. 100 cc of alcohol are then added to the whole and stirred for an additional hour, so that the temperature of the reaction solution rises to about 300. It is then hydrogenated at room temperature and at a pressure of 100 atmospheres, with 2 g of platinum oxide as catalyst. Over the course of an hour and a half, the amount of hydrogen calculated for 4 months, or 89.6 liters, is absorbed.

   The catalyst is filtered off, the filtrate is adjusted to a pH of 4 using binormal hydrochloric acid and the solution is concentrated in vacuo until crystallization begins. While cooling with ice, 500 cc of a concentrated sodium hydroxide solution are then added. A further solid sodium hydroxide is added to the whole, until an oil separates out. The latter is decanted and distilled.

  The 2-methyl-pentyl- (4) -hydrazine thus obtained passes to 59-61 under a pressure of 16 mm of mercury. Its monhydrochloride, strongly hygroscopic, melts at 61-63

 <Desc / Clms Page number 8>

 EXAMPLE 2
In a sealed tube is heated for 5 hours at 140, 165 g of 2-methyl-pentyl- (4) bromide with 100 g of hydrazine hydrate in 300 cm3 of absolute ethanol. After cooling, the crystallized product formed is filtered off, the filtrate is acidified with an alcoholic hydrochloric acid solution, concentrated to about a quarter of the volume and the crystals formed are filtered off. Then it is completely evaporated in vacuo.

   A concentrated solution of sodium hydroxide is added to the residue and the oil which separates is taken up in chloroform. After evaporation of the chloroform solution, the residue is distilled. In this way the 2-methyl-pentyl- (4) -hydrazine described in Example 1 is obtained.
