Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE UM CATALISADOR DE DMC, CATALISADOR, E, PROCESSO PARA A POLIMERIZAçãO DE óXIDOS DE ALQUILENO". Processo para a preparação de um catalisador de DMC útil na polimerização de óxidos de alquileno em poliéter polióis, sendo que o processo compreende as etapas de: (a) combinar uma solução aquosa de um sal de metal com uma solução aquosa de um sal de cianeto de metal e reagir estas soluções, no qual pelo menos parte desta reação ocorre na presença de um agente complexante orgânico, formando deste modo uma dispersão de um complexo de DMC sólido em um meio aquoso; (b) combinar a dispersão obtida na etapa (a) com um líquido, que é essencialmente insolúvel em água e que é capaz de extrair do meio aquoso o complexo de DMC sólido formado na etapa (a), e permitir que um sistema de duas fases seja formado consistindo de uma primeira camada aquosa e uma camada contendo o complexo de DMC e o líquido adicionado; (c) remover a primeira camada aquosa; e (d) recuperar o catalisador de DMC da camada contendo o catalisador de DMC.
