Abstract

"PROCESSO DE TRATAMENTO DE OBJETOS POSTAIS DE GRANDE TAMANHO EM UMA INSTALAçãO DE TRIAGEM". A invenção refere-se a um processo de tratamento de objetos postais de grande tamanho, tendo em vista ler automaticamente um endereço postal (AD) sobre cada objeto que consiste em adquirir uma imagem digital de cada objeto a um certo nível de resolução; detectar nessa imagem uma ou várias zonas de interesse (ZI) que contêm a priori um endereço postal; realizar uma fase de reconhecimento automático de endereço em cada zona de interesse para extrair um endereço postal (AD) do dito objeto; com em caso de falha dessa fase, mostrar cada zona de interesse (ZI) em uma tela para que um operador de vídeo-codificação leia o endereço postal (AD) do dito objeto. Cada zona de interesse (ZI) é mostrada na tela sobre um fundo de tela contextual (F) representativo do objeto mas a um nível de resolução menor do que o dito certo nível de resolução da imagem digital. Assim, o operador de vídeo-codificação tem uma visão global das zonas de interesse detectadas o que facilita a leitura do endereço postal do objeto.
