Abstract
"TUBO DE COQUILHA". A invenção refere-se a um tubo de coquilha (1b) de cobre para a fundição contínua de metais apresentando uma seção transversal interna e uma seção transversal externa com vários cantos e uma espessura nominal da parede que é de 8% a 10% da distância das superfícies internas situadas frontalmente opostas uma à outra, na convergência de tubo (4a). As superfícies internas estão submetidas indiretamente sob a influência da condução de calor de um meio de resfriamento a ser conduzido por fora da parede do tubo. Na área alta (14) da superfície do banho do metal líquido a espessura da parede é reduzida através de toda a extensão em torno de 10% a 40% do valor nominal da espessura nominal da parede.
