Abstract
"GENE STREPTOMYCES AVERMITILIS QUE DIRIGE A RAZãO DE AVERMECTINAS B2:B1". A presente invenção refere-se a moléculas de polinucleotídeo compreendendo seq³ências de nucleotídeos codificando um produto gene avec, cujas moléculas de polinucleotídeo podem ser usadas para alterar a razão ou quantidade da classe 2:1 de avermectinas produzida em culturas de fermentação de S. avermitilis. A presente invenção refere-se ainda a vetores, células hospedeiras, e cepas mutantes de S. avermitilis em que o gene avec tenha sido inativado ou submetido à mutação de modo a modificar a razão ou quantidade de avermectina da classe 2:1 produzida.
