Abstract

"FABRICAçãO DE áCIDOS E SAIS LINOLéICOS CONJUGADOS". Trata-se de um processo para fabricar materiais contendo ácido linoléico conjugado (CLA) incluindo sais e ácidos linoléicos conjugados que são ricos em isómeros desejáveis cis-9, trans-11 e trans-10, cis-12 e têm baixo teor de certos isómeros inesejáveis. Geralmente, o processo acarreta a isomerização de um alquil éster de um material contendo ácido linoléico, tal como óleo de girassol ou óleo de cártamo para efetuar a conjugação das ligações duplas, seguido pela saponificação do éster de ácido graxo contendo CLA resultante para produzir um sal de ácido graxo contendo CLA seguido pela neutralização do sal de ácido graxo contendo CLA com uma fonte ácida para produzir um ácido graxo contendo CLA.
