Abstract

"AçO INOXIDáVEL DúPLEX". A presente invenção refere-se a um aço inoxidável dúplex tendo excelente resistência às microfissurações e soldabilidade e particularmente um aço inoxidável dúplex que não forma compostos intermetálicos instantâneos mesmo em uma zona afetada pelo calor da solda. O aço tem uma composição química compreendendo C: no máximo 0,03%; Si: no máximo 1,0%; Mn: no máximo 1,5%; P no máximo 0,040%; S: no máximo 0,008%; Cr: 23,0 - 27,0%; Mo: 2,0 - 4,0%; Ni: 5,0 a 9,0%; W: maior que 1,5% até 5,0%; N: 0,24 - 0,35%; e um remanescente de Fe e impurezas que satisfazem as relações: PREW = Cr + 3,3 (Mo + 0,5W) + 16 N é pelo menos 40 e Mo + 1,1 Ni <243> 12,5 Mo - 0,8 Ni <243> -1,6 onde o número de inclusões brutas tendo a definição a seguir observadas em uma seção transversal é de no máximo 10 por mm¬ 2¬. Aqui, inclusões brutas são definidas como inclusões contendo pelo menos 20% em massa de AI e tendo um diâmetro principal de pelo menos 5 micrómetros.
