O eletrodo tem uma primeira e uma segunda superfície que são eletricamente condutivas e adaptadas para serem colocadas em contato0 com uma solução eletrolítica. O eletrodo tem uma camada de material ativo contendo partículas de material ativo entre a primeira e segunda superfícies.
