Abstract

"ARTIGO PLáSTICO E PROCESSO PARA PREPARAR UM ARTIGO PLáSTICO MOLDADO". A presente invenção prove uma peça plástica com uma área de superfície de um material em chapa semi-rígido (10) tal como metal, madeira ou produto de papel baseado em madeira e um novo processo onde as bordas do material em chapa são cobertas com um segundo componente plástico (30) que adere tanto ao material em chapa (10) quanto ao primeiro material plástico (20). Um primeiro componente de substrato de plástico (20) é preparado com uma área de superfície de material em chapa aderido e então as bordas (19) do material em chapa (10) são sobrepostas por um segundo componente de cobertura de borda plástico moldado sobreposto (39). Uma estrutura laminada de material em chapa preferida também é provida com uma camada suporte que protege uma camada adesiva interna. O segundo componente de cobertura de borda moldado sobreposto (30) cobre a borda de material em chapa (18) para prover uma superfície esteticamente agradável. Esta construção produz uma cobertura de borda do material em chapa mais durável e elimina a tendência do material em chapa (10) de se descascar da peça moldada durante o uso.
