PLANTA, PARTE DE PLANTA, CÉLULA DE PLANTA, SEMENTE, ÁCIDO NUCLEICO IMI ISOLADO, CASSETE DE EXPRESSçO, CÉLULA HOSPEDEIRA NçO HUMANA, VETOR DE TRANSFORMAÇçO, PLANTA TRANSFORMADA, MÉTODOS PARA CONTROLAR ERVAS DANINHAS NA VICINIDADE DE UMA PLANTA, PARA PRODUZIR UMA PLANTA TRANSFORMADA TENDO TOLERANCIA AUMENTADA A UM HERBICIDA DE IMIDAZOLINONA, PARA AUMENTAR A ATIVIDADE DE AlIAS EM UMA PLANTA, PARA SELECIONAR QUANTO A UMA CÉLULA DE PLANTA TRANSFORMADA, PARA PRODUZIR UMA PLANTA RESISTENTE A HERBICIDA, PARA AUMENTAR A RESISTÊNCIA A HERBICIDA DE UMA PLANTA E PARA COMBATER VEGETAÇçO INDESEJADA, POLIPEPTÍDEO ISOLADO, E, PLANTA RESISTENTE A HERBICIDA. A presente invenção está direcionada aos ácidos nucleicos que codificam polipeptídeos que conferem em uma planta tolerância a uma imidazolinona e/ou outro herbicida que inibe a ácido acetoidróxi sintase (AlIAS) quando expressados na planta. A presente invenção também fornece plantas tendo tolerância aumentada a uma imidazolinona e/ou outro herbicida que inibe a ARAS. Mais particularmente, a presente invenção inclui plantas que contenham pelo menos um ácido nucleico 1MI. A presente invenção também inclui sementes produzidas por estas plantas e métodos para controlar ervas daninhas na vicinidade destas plantas de trigo.
