Abstract
FLUIDOS DE TRABALHO ORGáNICOS. A presente invenção refere-se a um fluido de trabalho orgânico aperfeiçoado, comercialmente disponível, o qual é operável sob uma ampla faixa de temperaturas, é termicamente estável, tem uma alta temperatura de auto-ignição, um baixo ponto de congelamento e uma alta temperatura crítica, e é benigno ao meio ambiente, e seguro para utilização humana. Um tal fluido de trabalho orgânico é útil em usinas ou unidades de energia de ciclo Rankine orgânico (ORC) e outros sistemas similares; como um fluido intermediário para a recuperação de calor em que o calor de várias fontes de calor é transferido utilizando o fluido intermediário para um fluido de trabalho adicional e convertido em trabalho, e o fluido intermediário é também explorado para produzir eletricidade. Tais fluidos de trabalho orgânicos são também operáveis como fluidos de transferência de calor ou em usinas ou uni- dades de energia de ORO ou em outros sistemas de transferência de calor. Para este propósito a presente invenção apresenta um fluido de trabalho que compreende pelo menos um hidrocarboneto iso-parafínico pesado, altamente ramificado, ou uma mistura de dois ou mais de tais hidrocarbonetos. De preferência pelo menos um hidrocarboneto iso-parafínico altamente ramificado está presente como o componente principal (isto é pelo menos 50% por volume) no fluido de trabalho. Uma subclasse preferida da classe das iso-parafinas ramificadas as quais são adequadas para serem incorporadas em fluidos de trabalho orgânicos da presente invenção inclui os hidrocarbonetos que contém de 8 a 20 átomos de carbono que tem pelo menos um radical metila (CH~ 3~) disposto para conseguir um composto altamente estável.
