Abstract

Procédé de préparation d'un mélange d'air et de carburant consistant à chauffer à nouveau l'écoulement trop riche du mélange d'air et de carburant avant de le mélanger à un second écoulement en le faisant passer dans un activateur chauffé jusqu'à une température dépassant la température d'allumage du mélange, et en assurant un contact multiple de l'écoulement avec la surface de l'activateur. Le dispositif comprend un échangeur thermique (1) relié par un manchon d'admission (3) au collecteur d'échappement du moteur, ainsi qu'un dispositif (5) destiné à assurer le dosage des composants du mélange à traiter et comportant un conduit d'air (6), un conduit de gaz d'échappement (7) ainsi qu'un conduit de carburant (8). Le dispositif (5) est relié par une unité de régulation (10) et un conduit de mélange (9) au circuit de mélange d'admission de l'échangeur thermique (1). Dans le conduit de sortie de l'échangeur thermique est monté, sans espace, un activateur (12) qui est un élément chauffant doté d'une surface développée, laquelle peut présenter différentes configurations.
