Blade control mechanism for looms. This invention relates to a mechanism for controlling blades for. looms . arranged in order to be able to operate P 1111C, speed greater than the usual mechanics which always include reciprocating movement members whose inertia is harmful.
An embodiment of the mechanism according to this invention is shown, to by way of example, in the accompanying drawing.
The f ig. 1 is a vertical section, part along the line A-A of fig. 2, part ,, along line B-R, Lii, fig. 2 is a plan. This mechanism comprises a series of parallel shafts 1, mounted in a box 2 followed by several horizontal rows.
On each of these shafts are mounted free two pinions 3 and 4. the pinions 33 of all the shafts of the same row mesh with each other; the same is true of pi-, (lines 4.
The pinions 3 and 4 of one of the extruded shafts (s are driven by a continuous rotational movement in the opposite direction by means not shown.
In addition, each shaft 1 carries an endless screw 5 fixed on it and controlling a helical wheel 6 integral with a pulley 7. A, each pulley 7 is attached to a cord 8 , the ends of which are respectively connected 'to the, upper part el; a the lower part of the corresponding blade of the loom to set in motion (not shown).
On each shaft 1 is guided by means of a key a sleeve 9 fitted with clutch pins 10 and 11, arranged to attack respectively lugs 12 and 1.3 carried by the pinions 3 and 4.
Each of the sleeves 9 can be moved on the corresponding shaft 1 by means of a clutch fork 14 which sorrel on an axis 15 and the end of which carries a 16. roller
All 16 rollers are pressed by springs 17 against respective cams 18 freely mounted on a fixed axle 19 and bearing pinions 20 with which meshing respective toothed wheels 21 which are in their turn freely mounted on a fixed axis _92.
Each wheel 21 is integral with a pinion # z1 -93 whose rotation is controlled intermittently by a disc 24 comprising only one or more teeth spaced apart variable way on its periphery depending on the frame to obtain.
All the disks 24 corresponding to a same row are keyed on a shaft 25 which receives a partial rotation at each revolution of the shaft of the loom , thanks to an unrepresented transmission. In the example shown, the disks 24 corresponding to the two superimposed rows are all keyed on the same shaft 25-, but to simplify the fi-. -9, everything has been omitted from it. which relates to the lower row.
The operation is as follows: A each time a tooth of a disc 24 meets the corresponding pinion 9-3 , it rotates it through an angle such that wheel 21 drives the pinion 20 by a quarter of a turn, so that the corresponding roller 16 passes from a part 18th of intermediate radius of </ B> the cam 18 to another part 1.8e of this cam, passing either over a part j8b of small radius, or over a part 18a </ B> of large radius and the result is an oscillation of the lever 14 and a corresponding displacement of the handle 9.
This is thus brought into engagement with one of the picilons 3 or 4 and consequently receives a movement (the rotation in the wrong direction or in the other which is transmitted by the in ,,, connected 5 and 6 to the respective pulley 7 . # 1 # r1 Depending on the direction of this rotation , the respective blade is thus raised or lowered. When the roller 16 is pressed on an intermediate part 18c, the sleeve 9 is located at </ B > the posilion or deworking #, shown in the drawing.
Of course, the disks 24 are removably mounted on the shaft 25 so that they can be easily changed according to the armors to obtain. Before starting the mechanics, it may be useful to raise or lower some of the blades; to this end, the respective 1 shafts will be turned in the direction required. by means of a crank (not shown) which will be engaged on the square end 26 of these shafts.
The number of 1 trees and corresponding oro-anes can be arbitrary.
The mechanism described does not include other members with reciprocating movement that the clutch members 14 and 9 whose finertie and stroke are low.
It is therefore possible to operate this machine (# mechanics at high speed without any inconvenience, which makes it possible to obtain a greater production from the loom than with the usual mechanics.
