Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Küpenfarbstoffes. Gemäss dem im Hauptpatent beschriebe nen Verfahren erhält man einen Küpenfarb- stoff, der Baumwolle aus :der Hydrosulfit- küpe in orangefarbenen, echten Tönen an färbt, wenn man Dekacyclen in Gegenwart von Chlorsulfonsäure der Schwefelung und Chlorierung unterwirft.
Wie nun weiter gefunden wurde, erhält man einen Küpenfarbstoff von den gleichen Eigenschaften, wenn man Dekacyclen zu nächst durch Behandlung mit schwefelab- gebenden; Mitteln in einen Schwefelfarbstoff überführt und diesen dann in einer zweiten Arbeitsstufe in Gegenwart von Chlorsulfon- säure mit chlorierenden Mitteln behandelt.
Beispiel: 100 Teile Dekacyclen und 400 Teile Schwefelchlorür werden im Ölbad unter Rückfluss und Rühren in etwa 3 Stunden auf 200' (Olbadtemperatur) erhitzt. Man hält diese Temperatur so lange, bis das zu- nächst eine dunkelrote Lösung bildende Re aktionsgemisch zähflüssig geworden ist.
Zur Vervollständ ic\un.g der Farbstoffbil- dung wird alsdann noch etwa 8 Stunden bei 270 bis<B>280'</B> weitergebacken.
50 Teile der so erhaltenen Farbstoffroh- schmelze, die einen Schwefelfarbstoff ent hält, werden in 300 Teilen Chlorsulfoasäure suspendiert. Unter allmählicher Erhöhung der Temperatur auf<B>9,0'</B> im Verlauf von etwa 5 Stunden werden, 75 Teile Chlor ein geleitet.
Nach etwa einstündigem Nachrüh- ren bei der gleichen Temperatur und Abküh len wird die Masse auf Eis ,gegossen, abge saugt und ausgewaschen. Das erhaltene Reaktionsprodukt löst sich nur in Spuren beim Kochen mit Schwefelnatrium. Mit Natronlauge und Hydrosulfit verküpt, färbt es Baumwolle in klarem Orangeton, ähnlich dem der Hauptanmeldung. Die Ausbeute an Küpenfarbstoffen beträgt 59 Teile.
Process for the production of a vat dye. According to the process described in the main patent, a vat dye is obtained which dyes cotton from: the hydrosulfite vat in genuine orange shades when decacycles are subjected to sulfurization and chlorination in the presence of chlorosulfonic acid.
As has now been found further, a vat dye with the same properties is obtained when decacycles are first treated with sulfur-releasing; Agents converted into a sulfur dye and then treated with chlorinating agents in a second stage in the presence of chlorosulfonic acid.
Example: 100 parts of decacycles and 400 parts of sulfuric chloride are heated to 200 '(oil bath temperature) in an oil bath under reflux with stirring in about 3 hours. This temperature is maintained until the reaction mixture, which initially forms a dark red solution, has become viscous.
To complete the formation of the dye, baking is then continued for about 8 hours at 270 to 280 '.
50 parts of the crude dye melt obtained in this way, which contains a sulfur dye, are suspended in 300 parts of chlorosulfoic acid. While gradually increasing the temperature to <B> 9.0 '</B> in the course of about 5 hours, 75 parts of chlorine are introduced.
After stirring for about an hour at the same temperature and cooling, the mass is poured onto ice, filtered off with suction and washed out. The reaction product obtained dissolves only in traces when boiling with sodium sulphide. Vatted with caustic soda and hydrosulfite, it dyes cotton in a clear orange shade, similar to that of the main application. The yield of vat dyes is 59 parts.
