Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines metallhaltigen Azofarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem neuen, wertvollen metallhaltigen Azofarbstoff gelangt, wenn man auf den L#lonoazofarbstoff 3s der Formel

kobaltabgebende Mittel derart einwirken lässt, dass ein kobalthaltiger Azofarbstoff entsteht,
der zwei Monoazofarbstoffmoleküle an ein Kobaltatom komplex gebunden enthält.
Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein wasserlös liches Pulver das Wolle aus neutralem bis essi-saui-em Bade in braungelben Tönen färbt.
Der als Ausgangsstoff dienende, der oben stehenden Formel entsprechende Monoazo- farbstoff kann durch Kupplung des 1-(2' Chlorphenvl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolons mit nach an sieh bekannten Methoden, z. B. mittels Salz- sUure und Natriumnitrit diazotiertem 2- _lmino -l -oxybenzol-4-sulfonsäure-n-but.#-lamid Tiergestellt werden.
Die Behandlung mit den kobaltabgebenden Mitteln erfolgt gemäss vorliegendem Verfah ren in der Weise, dass ein kobalthaltiger Farb stoff entsteht, der pro Molekül Farbstoff weniger als ein Atom Kobalt in komplexer Bindung enthält. Demgemäss führt man die Metallisieriuzg zweckmässig mit solchen kobalt- abgebenden Mitteln und nach solchen Metho den durch, welche erfahrungsgemäss komplexe Kobaltverbindungen dieser Zusammensetzung liefern.
Es empfiehlt sich im allgemeinen, auf ein Molekül eines Farbstoffes weniger als ein Atom Kobalt zu verwenden und/oder die hIe- tallisierung in schwach saurem bis alkalischem Medium auszuführen. Als kobaltabgebende Mittel verwendet man zweckmässig Kobalt salze, wie Kobaltsulfat oder Kobaltacetat, ge gebenenfalls auch frisch gefälltes Kobalt- hyd'roxyd.
Beispiel: 24,4 Teile 2-Amino-1-oxybenzol-4-sulfon- säure-n-butvlamid werden in 50 Teilen Was- ser und 14V Teilen 30 % iger Salzsäure gelöst und bei 0 bis 5 mit einer wässerigen Lösung von 6,
9 Teilen Natriumnitrit diazotiert. Die mit Natriumcarbonat neutralisierte Diazosus- pension wird bei 10 bis 12 in eine Lösung aus 22,0 Teilen 1-(2'-,Chlorphenyl)-3-methyl-5- pyrazolon, 50 Teilen Wasser und 14,0 Teilen 30 % iger Natriumhydroxydlösung eingegos- sen. Die Kupplung verläuft sehr rasch. Der Farbstoff wird durch Hinzufügen von Na triumchlorid abgeschieden.
4,64 Teile des so erhältlichen Farbstoffes werden als feuchter Filterkuchen in 100 Tei len Wasser aufgeschlämmt und durch Zugabe von 5 Volumteilen 2n-Natriumhydroxydlösung und Erwärmen gelöst, Die etwa.
80 warme Farbstofflösung versetzt man mit 1,5 Teilen kristallisiertem Natriumacetat und hierauf mit 30 Teilen einer 70 warmen Kobaltsulfatlösung mit einem Kobaltgehalt von 1,3%. Nach kur- zer Zeit ist die Komplexbildung beendet, und die Kobaltverbindung des Farbstoffes kann durch Zugabe von Natriumehlorid und ver dünnter Essigsäure abgese'hieden werden.

The treatment with the cobalt-releasing agents takes place according to the present method in such a way that a cobalt-containing dye is produced which contains less than one atom of cobalt in complex bond per molecule of dye. Accordingly, the metallization is expediently carried out with such cobalt-releasing agents and by such methods which, experience has shown, provide complex cobalt compounds of this composition.
It is generally advisable to use less than one atom of cobalt per molecule of dye and / or to carry out the metallization in a weakly acidic to alkaline medium. Cobalt salts, such as cobalt sulfate or cobalt acetate, and, if appropriate, also freshly precipitated cobalt hydroxide, are expediently used as cobalt-releasing agents.
