Boîte de montre. L'objet de la présente invention est une boîte de montre dont le fond présente exté rieurement une gorge transversale permettant l'adaptation facile de la montre au guidon d'un cycle. A cet effet, le fond sera, de pré férence, plus haut que ceux généralement usités et la gorge sera, de préférence, obtenue par emboutissage.
Il est montré au dessin ci-annexé, et ceci pour autant que la compréhension de l'in vention l'exige, une coupe partielle de la boîte de montre selon l'invention.
Le fond a de la boîte de montre repré sentée est fixé à cran sur la carrure, mais il pourrait, par exemple, aussi l'être au moyen d'une charnière. On a pratiqué extérieurement sur celui-ci au moyen d'un emboutissage une gorge transversale dont le rayon de courbure est à peu près celui que l'on donne généra lement aux guidons de bicyclettes et moto- cyçlettes. De chaque côté de cette gorge sont prévues deux tiges filetées, rivées dans des parties plates du fond; et sur lesquelles se vissent des écrous.
Par le moyen de ces derniers, on peut presser une bride contre le fond et serrer ainsi entre ces deux pièces le guidon du cycle auquel on destine la montre. Les écrous se vissant sur les tiges ont unie tête lisse et comportent un fût tourné vers le fond de la montre passant dans des trous de la bride et dans chacun desquels sont pratiquées qua tre petites encoches. Celles-ci servent à mou voir les écrous sur le pas des tiges, ruais, pour cette opération, il est nécessaire de pos séder un petit outil spécial qui est représenté en fig. 2.
La disposition de ces encoches du côté du fond de la pièce rendra donc difficile la séparation de la montre du guidon et consti tue une sûreté pour son possesseur.
Watch box. The object of the present invention is a watch case, the bottom of which has a transverse groove on the outside allowing easy adaptation of the watch to the handlebars of a cycle. For this purpose, the base will preferably be higher than those generally used and the groove will preferably be obtained by stamping.
It is shown in the accompanying drawing, and this insofar as the understanding of the invention so requires, a partial section of the watch case according to the invention.
The case back a of the shown watch case is notched on the caseband, but it could, for example, also be secured by means of a hinge. A transverse groove, the radius of curvature of which is approximately that which is generally given to the handlebars of bicycles and motorcycles, has been practiced externally thereon by means of stamping. On each side of this groove are provided two threaded rods, riveted in flat parts of the bottom; and on which nuts are screwed.
By means of the latter, it is possible to press a flange against the back and thus clamp between these two parts the handlebars of the cycle for which the watch is intended. The nuts which are screwed onto the rods have a smooth head and comprise a barrel facing the back of the watch passing through holes in the flange and in each of which four small notches are made. These are used to soft see the nuts on the pitch of the rods, ruais, for this operation, it is necessary to have a small special tool which is shown in fig. 2.
The arrangement of these notches on the side of the back of the part will therefore make it difficult to separate the watch from the handlebars and constitute a safety for its owner.
