La pièce c con tient lite bille<B>y</B> s'appliquant par faction d'un ressort h sur, titi siège V constitué par l'extrémité inférieure de la pièce L. Le res sort h prend appui sur unie tige é filetée sur rite grande partie de sa longueur;
Device for feeding a carburetor for engines; L explosions. The object of the invention is a supply device (See carburetor for explosion engines.
It comprises a titi organ controlling the passage known as liquid fuel (Fine source (the liquid fuel to the carburettor to be supplied and arranged so <B> there </B> allow this passage when the engine supplied by the carburetor produces a suction in it. this.
The single figure of the appended drawing represents a longitudinal section of an embodiment of said device, given by way of example.
The source of liquid fuel lion shown, iii reservoir for example, is connected to a pipe a 'of a hollow part a into which is screwed a second hollow part, b, the iirtérieur of which is in coniniiiiiie <r- tion. the <B> channel (the </B> tubing a '.
A hollow bent piece c is attached at one of its ends to a flange b 'of the piece h by titi cap nut (l and is connected to the other by titi cap nut e to uni tuvari f leading <> , one or, of the jets., of the car burator <B> it, </B> to feed; this one is not indicated no) beds in the drawing.
The part c contains the ball <B> y </B> applying by faction of a spring h on, titi seat V constituted by the lower end of the part L. The res out h is supported on a united rod e threaded over most of its length;
passing through a threaded hole in part c and fitted on the outside of the latter with a knurled niaeuvre button z 'as well as a lock nut i - #>, also knurled.
1.a ball / can be moved away from either seat despite the opposition of the spring fi by means of a plunger comprising soot rod j entering the part 1r by an opening, in which it can move axially, and screwed in a hat i.
The latter slides on pull sheath al which is integral with part a and in which is lugé titi spring lt maintaining the pusher in a rest position.
To prevent fuel from passing through the opening of the part b around the rod j, the latter is provided with a bulge j - 'forming a movable valve body and applied by the action of the spring / r on titi si-eh: 'spared inside. (the b. The operation of this form of execution is as follows:
If you want to start the engine which is supplied by the carburettor and which is supposed to be stopped, you press the button; this has the effect of moving the ball g away from the seat b = and of allowing liquid fuel, arriving under pressure through the pipe <I> a ', </I> to reach the pipe f and bed , to the carburetor. This is therefore the cry of supplying explosive mixture to the engine.
As soon as it turns, either because it is thrown by hand or otherwise, or because it then works by itself, it produces in the car burator and in the nozzle (s) thereof a suction which propagates in the pipe f ', in the part c and opens the valve g which remains open dries up that this suction lasts: The device therefore supplies during all this time fuel to the carburettor without having to press again on the pusher.
We abandon the latter, the bulge j <B> '</B> is applied by the spring 7c on the seat L3 and hermetically closes the part b cry this place.
If the engine runs for a time at low power and we want to make it pass quickly to a significantly greater power - resumption of operation - we can naturally act again on the pusher to increase the so-called fuel arrival.
The knurled knob i 'makes it possible to adjust at will, after having loosened the counter-nut i2, the tension of the spring h and consequently the ef fort which the suction of the motor must produce to move the ball y from its seat. The opening of the valve for the same suction is small and therefore varies.
The faith-me of the execution described makes it possible to avoid the use of a constant-level reservoir used in carburettors and having the following drawback in the case where these are made to tilt more or less or even to be overturned as is the case for example for carburettors placed on aircraft:
when the inclination is large enough or when a reversal takes place, the supply to the nozzle (s) may become overabundant; combustible liquid, so-called 'from' these jets and not vaporized, more or less fills the carburetor mixing chamber, drains air out and gives rise to serious fire hazards. With the embodiment described, nothing of the same happens, since the liquid can only reach the carburetor in dependence on the suction of the engine.
The small ball valve will naturally be replaced by another control organ.
