Abstract

Description

可压折式转向柱系统
本发明涉及一种可压折式转向柱系统。
英国专利GB 1 120 799披露了一种与一个可变形的元件连接的可压折式转向柱,该元件以一根可伸缩金属棒的形式点焊到该转向柱上并绕一对滚子传递,这样,该转向柱折叠时,便可拉动绕上述两个滚子的上述金属棒,使该金属棒变形,从而放慢转向柱的折叠。
本发明提出一种可压折式转向柱系统,包括在折叠时由转向柱传递的能量的吸收装置,该装置包括一个与该转向柱的安装装置连接的可变形元件,该安装装置包括一个安装支架,该变形元件为一根具有一定长度的可变形钢丝,该钢丝的两肢各绕一个销子,其特征是,该安装支架可滑动地罩住一块与该转向柱连接并与该变形元件邻接的滑块,这样,在该转向柱折叠时,该滑块便在一个方向内滑动,使吸收折叠能量的该变形元件变形,并且配有两个上述的销子,而且该钢丝一般为U字形钢丝夹,其两肢各绕一个销子,这两个销子相隔一定的距离,该滑块可在销子之间滑动以拉动绕该销子的该钢丝夹,从而使钢丝变形,吸入能量。
所以,这种装置吸收的折叠能量从转向柱的周围传递到安装支架的范围。
钢丝夹的外端可约束在安装支架腔内,以阻止张开。
当钢丝绕其相应的销子被拉动时可通过伸长而变形。
为了更好理解本发明及其实施例,下面结合附图来说明,附图是:
图1表示可压折式转向柱系统一种结构的示意侧视图;
图2表示转向柱折叠前从箭头A方向看出去的图1所示转向柱系统的部分局剖示意图;
图3表示转向柱折叠后从箭头A方向看出的与图2相同的视图;
图4表示沿图2剖面线IV-IV剖开的截面图;
图5为转向柱折叠时表示能量吸收值的荷载与伸长的关系图。
参看图1,转向柱系统包括一个转向机齿条1、一个固定的下安装点2、转向柱的一根内轴3、转向柱的一根外轴4、一个转向盘5和转向柱的固定上安装点6。
在图1所示结构中,转向柱表示成可调的,但本发明同样适用于刚性的转向柱系统。
参看图1~图4,在沿箭头B方向产生折叠时,用于吸入通过转向柱传递的能量的装置包括一个以钢丝夹7的形式与安装装置6连接的变形元件,安装装置6包括一个安装支架8,该安装支架8可滑动地罩住一个在槽8A中的滑块9。该滑块9与外轴4连接并与钢丝夹7邻接。
如图2所示,在转向柱折叠之前,钢丝夹7呈U字形,且U字形的两肢位于两个相隔一定距离的销子10上,槽8A中的滑块滑动时可在销子10之间通过。钢丝夹7的自由外肢被约束在安装支架内,如图所示的8B处,而起着导轨的作用,从而防止夹子自由肢张开。
当车辆碰撞时,转向盘5沿箭头B方向运动,于是滑块9被迫在相同方向滑动并拉动夹子7,该夹子的两肢便绕销子10拉动,如图3所示,这样就具有在折叠时吸收由转向柱传递的能量的效果。
转向柱本身的压折是在参考号11范围内的内轴3和外轴4之间产生的相对压折实现的。

Claims (6)

1.可压折式转向柱系统包括在压折时由转向柱传递的能量的吸收装置,该装置包括一个与转向柱安装装置(6)连接的变形元件(7),该安装装置包括一个安装支架(8),该变形元件为一定长度的变形钢丝(7),该钢丝两肢分别绕销子(10),其特征是,该安装支架(8)可滑动地罩住一个与该转向柱连接的并与该变形元件(7)邻接的滑块(9),这样,当该转向柱压折时,该滑块便沿一个方向滑动使该变形元件变形,从而吸收折叠产生的能量;并且配有二个销子(10),该钢丝为一般U字形钢丝夹(7),其两肢分别绕该销子,该销子相隔一定距离,上述滑块(9)可在销子间通过,以拉动绕该销子的钢丝夹使它产生变形,从而吸入能量。
2.按权利要求1的系统,其中,该钢丝的肢被约束在安装支架内,以阻止张开。
3.按上述权利要求1或2的系统,其中该滑块与该转向柱的外轴(4)连接。
4.按上述权利要求1或2的转向柱系统,是一种不可调节的转向柱系统。
5.按权利要求1或2的转向柱系统,是一种可调节的转向柱系统。
6.按权利要1或2的系统,其中,该钢丝通过伸长变形。
