Abstract

La presente invención está relacionada con polipéptidos que muestran una actividad superior a la hormona de crecimiento de tilapia. Estos polipéptidos son capaces de estimular el crecimiento, la sobrevida y calidad de las larvas de peces y crustáceos. Además incrementan la defensa del organismo contra agentes patógenos y estimulan parámetros relacionados con el sistema inmune de organismos acuáticos. Los genes que codifican para dichos polipéptidos fueron clonados en un vector deexpresión en pichia pastoris que permite la obtención de la proteína de forma extracelular. El sobrenadante de cultivo que contiene los polipéptidos de interés fue administrado por banos de inmersión o como suplemento en el pienso a organismos acuáticos.
