Abstract
D. Erfindung betrifft selekttive herzibide Mittel fuer die Unkrautbekaempfung i.Nutzpflanzenkulturen. Ziel der Erfindung ist die Bereitstellung von Mitteln mit verbesserter herbizider Wirkung und groeszerer Vertraeglichkeit fuer Nutzpflanzen. Erfindungsgemaesz sind die Mittel gekennzeichnet, durch einen Gehalt an einem oder mehreren substituierten neuen Carbanilsaeureestern der allgemeinen Formel, in der R&ind1! C&ind1!-C&ind6!-Alkyl, C&ind2!-C&ind6!-Alkenyl, C&ind2!-C&ind6!-Alkinyl, chloriertes C&ind1!-C&ind6!-Alkyl oder Phenyl-C&ind1!-C&ind5!-alkyl; R&ind2! Wasserstoff oder Chlor; R&ind3! Wasserstoff oder C&ind1!-C&ind6!-Alkyl; R&ind4! Wasserstoff, C&ind1!-C&ind6!-Alkyl oder gegebenenfalls substituiertes Phenyl; R&ind5! Halogen und R&ind6! Erfindung
Die Erfindung betrifft neue substituierte Carbanil säureester enthaltende selektive herbizide Mittel.
Charakteristik der bekannten technischen Lösungen
Herbizide Carbanilsäureester, zum Beispiel 3,4-Dichlorcarbanilsäuremethylester, sind bereits bekannt (DE-PS 1 195 549)* Diese zeigen jedoch nicht immer eine ausreichende selektive herbizide Wirkung.
Ziel der vorliegenden Erfindung ist daher die Entwicklung eines Mittels, welches eine bessere Wirkung gegen Unkräuter und gleichzeitig eine größere Verträglichkeit für Nutzpflanzen aufweist als konstitutionsanaloge Verbindungen,
Darlegung des Wesens der Erfindung
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, neue Carbanilsäureester mit den gewünschten Eigenschaften aufzufinden, die als Wirkstoff in herbiziden Mitteln geeignet sind. Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch ein Mittel gelöst, das gekennzeichnet ist durch einen Gehalt an einem oder mehreren Carbanilsäureestern der allgemeinen Formel

Die erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen zeigen überraschenderweise eine hervorragende Verträglichkeit in Reis, Weizen, Gerste, Hafer, Roggen und Kulturgräsern bei Anwendung im Nachauflaufverfahrenβ
Sie zeigen außerdem eine sehr gute Wirkung gegen Unkräuter der Gattungen: Sinapis, Brassica, Chenopodium, Atriplex, Solanum, Alliura, Cucumis, Stellaria, Senecio, Matricaria, Laraium, Centaurea, Amaranthus, Chrysanthemum, Ipomoea, Polygonum, Echinochloa, Setaria, Digitaria, Valerianella, Digitalis, Trifolium, Portulaca, Papaver, Kochia, Gypsophila, Lactuca, Cheiranthus, Euphorbia, Linum, Datura und Cichorium,

Zur Bekämpfung dieser Samenunkräuter genügen in der Regel Aufwandmengen von 0,5 bis maximal 5 kg Wirkstoff/ha, wobei die erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen in Nutzpflanzenkulturen, wie Weizen, Gerste, Hafer, Roggen, Kartoffeln und Reis, eine selektive Wirkung entfalten.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen können entweder allein, in Mischung miteinander oder mit anderen Wirkstoffen angewendet werden. Gegebenenfalls können andere Entblätterungs-, Pflanzenschutz- oder Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel je nach dem gewünschten Zweck zugesetzt werden.
Sofern eine Verbreiterung des Wirkungsspektrums beabsichtigt ist, können auch andere Herbizide zugesetzt werden. Beispielsweise eignen sich als herbizid wirksame Mischpartner Wirkstoffe aus der Gruppe der Triazine, Aminotriazole, Anilide, Diazine, Uracile, aliphatischen Carbonsäuren und Halogencarbonsäuren, substituierten Benzoesäuren und Aryloxycarbonsäuren, Hydrazide, Amide, Nitrile, Ester solcher Carbonsäuren, Carbamidsäure- und Thiocarbamidsäureester, Harnstoffe, 2,3,6-Trichlorbenzyloxypropanil, rhodanhaltige Mittel und andere Zusätze,
Unter anderen Zusätzen sind zum Beispiel auch nichtphytotoxische Zusätze zu verstehen, die mit Herbiziden eine synergistische Wirkungssteigerung ergeben können, wie unter anderem Netzmittel, Emulgatoren, Lösungsmittel und ölige Zusätze,
Zweckmäßig werden die erfindungsgemäßen Wirkstoffe oder deren Mischungen in Form von Zubereitungen, wie Pulvern, Streumitteln, Granulaten, Lösungen, Emulsionen oder

Suspensionen, unter Zusatz von flüssigen und/oder festen Trägerstoffen beziehungsweise Verdünnungsmitteln und gegebenenfalls von Netz-, Haft-, Emulgier- und/oder Dispergierhilfsmitteln angewandt«
Geeignete flüssige Trägerstoffe sind zum Beispiel Wasser, aliphatische und aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Benzol, Toluol, Xylol, Cyclohexanon* Isophoron, Ditnethylsulfoxid, Dimethylfοrmamid und des weiteren Mineralölfraktionen,
Als feste Trägerstoffe eignen sich Mineralerden, zum Beispiel Tonsil, Silicagel, Talkum, Kaolin, Attaklay, Kalkstein, Kieselsäure, und pflanzliche Produkte, zum Beispiel Mehle.
An oberflächenaktiven Stoffen sind zu nennen zum Beispiel Calciumligninsulfonat, Polyoxyethylen-alkylphenolether, Naphthalinsäuren und deren Salze, Phenolsulfonsäuren und deren Salze, Formaldehydkondensate, Fettalkoholsulfate sowie substituierte Benzolsulfonsäuren und deren Salze»
Der Anteil des bzw. der Wirkstoffe(s) in den verschiedenen Zubereitungen kann in weiten Grenzen variieren» Beispielsweise enthalten die Mittel etwa 10 bis 90 Gewichtsprozente Wirkstoffe, etwa 10 bis 90 Gewichtsprozente flüssige oder feste Trägerstoffe sowie gegebenenfalls bis zu 20 Gewichtsprozenten oberflächenaktive Stoffe.
Die Ausbringung der Mittel kann in üblicher Weise erfolgen, zum Beispiel mit Wasser als Träger in Spritzbruhmengen von etwa 100 bis 1000 Liter/ha. Eine Anwendung der Mittel im sogenannten Low-Volunie~ und Ultra-Low-Volume-Verfahren ist

ebenso möglich wie ihre Applikation in Form von sogenannten Mikrogranulaten·
Von den erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen zeichnen sich durch eine sehr gute selektiv-herbizide Wirkung insbesondere diejenigen aus, bei denen in der oben angeführten allgemeinen Formel R^ Methyl, Ethyl, Propyl, Isopropyl, Allyl, 2-Methyl-2-
propenyl, 2-Propinyl, 2-Chlorethyl oder Benzyl; R2 Wasserstoff oder Chlor; R, Wasserstoff, Methyl oder Ethyl; R4 Wasserstoff, Methyl oder Phenyl; R_ und Rc Chlor bedeuten.
Eine herausragende selektiv-herbizide Wirkung haben schließlich diejenigen Verbindungen, bei denen in der angeführten allgemeinen Formel R1 Methyl, Ethyl, Propyl, Isopropyl, Allyl oder 2-Methyl~2-
propenyl; R2 Wasserstoff;
R_ und R. Wasserstoff oder Methyl; Rc und Rc Chlor bedeuten.
Die neuen erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen lassen sich zum Beispiel herstellen, indem man

gelöst in einem Lösungsmittel und in Gegenwart katalytischer Mengen einer Base, wie Triethylamin, zur Reaktion gebracht wird, und die Verfahrensprodukte darauf in üblicher· Weise isoliert, wobei R„ bis R-. die oben genannte Bedeutung haben.
Die Ausgangsprodukte zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen sind an sich bekannt oder lassen sich nach an sich bekannten Verfahren herstellen*
2~Halogen—4-nitrophenol wird zum Beispiel zunächst in einem polaren aprotischen Lösungsmittel und in Gegenwart einer

äquimolaren Menge einer Base mit dem entsprechenden HaIomethyldihalogencyclopropyl alkyliert, wobei die Alkylierung des Phenols ebenso als phasentransferkatalysierte Reaktion geführt werden kann.
Zur anschließenden Reduktion der aromatischen Nitrogruppe löst man beispielsweise 3~Chlor~4~(2i2~dichlorcyclopropyl-' methoxy)~nitrobenzol in Ethanol und reduziert die Nitrogruppe bei Temperaturen zwischen 60 und 100 C mit einer Mischung von Hydrazin und Raney-Nickel« Daran kann sich ggf# die partielle Reduktion eines Halogenatoms am Dreiring anschließen,
Die Erfindung wird nachstehend an einigen Beispielen näher erläutert.
Die folgenden Beispiele erläutern die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen:
T3-Chlor-4-(2>2-dichlorcyclopropylmethoxy)-carbanilsäuremethylester
17,4 g (0,1 Mol) 2-Chlor—4-nitrophenol werden in 100 ml Dimethylformamid gelöst und portionsweise mit dem gemörserten Gemisch aus 900 mg Natriumiodid und 16,3 g (0,11 Mol) Kaliumcarbonat wasserfrei versetzt. Anschließend fügt man 23 g (0,11 Mol) l-Brommethyl^^-dichlorcyclopropan hinzu und röhrt das Reaktionsgemisch 5 Stunden bei SO 0C, Nach dem Abkühlen wird der Ansatz in 500 ml Eiswasser eingerührt. Das ausgefallene Produkt wird abgesaugt und mit Wasser gewaschen.

Die Ausbeute an 3-Chlor-4~(2,2-dichlorcyclopropylmethoxy)~ nitrobenzol beträgt:
23,3 g = 79 % der Theorie Fp. 73 bis 74 °C
23,3 g (0,079 Mol) 3-Chlor~4-(2,2-dichlorcyclopropylmethoxy)-nitrobenzol werden in 90 ml Ethanol gelöst und mit 14,2 ml (0,28 Mol) 99%igem Hydrazinhydrat versetzt. Zur Reduktion der Nitrogruppe werden unter Ruhren und Kühlung insgesamt ca. 3 g Raney-Nickel portionsweise hinzugefügt. Die Reaktionstemperatur soll dabei 60 0C nicht übersteigen. Das Ende der Reaktion erkennt .craan am Verschwinden der gelben Farbe der Nitroverbindung. Nach beendeter Reaktion fügt man noch etwa Raney-Nickel hinzu, um überschüssiges Hydrazin zu zerstören. Die noch warme Mischung wird filtriert und das Filtrat bis auf 10 - 15 ml eingeengt. Nach Zugabe von ca. 10 ml konzentrierter Salzsäure fällt das Hydrochlorid aus. Dieses wird abgesaugt und mit wäßriger Natriumbicarbonatlösung neutralisiert. Das freie Anilin wird mit Essigester extrahiert und die Essigesterphase eingedampft
Es bleiben 14,4 g = 69 % der Theorie 3-Chlor—4—(2,2-dichlorcyclopropylmethoxy)-anilin zurück.
14,20 g (0,053 Mol) 3-Chlor-4-(2,2-dichlorcyclopropyl~ methoxy)-anilin werden in 100 ml Essigester gelöst und mit 25 ml Wasser sowie 1,22 g (0,030 Mol) Magnesiumoxid versetzt. Unter Rühren werden 4,54 ml (0,058 Mol) Chlorameisensäuremethylester in 10 ml Essigester langsam zugetropft. Die Reaktionsmischung erwärmt sich dabei auf ca, 45 0C. Nach einer Stunde ist die Umsetzung vollständig. Überschüssiges Magnesiumoxid wird mit verdünnter Salzsäure in

Lösung gebracht. Anschließend trennt man die organische Phase abt wäscht sie mit Wasser neutral, trocknet sie über Magnesiumsulfat, filtriert und dampft das Filtrat zur Trockne ein. F, 78 bis 79 0C
Ausbeute: 14,5 g = 83,9 % der Theorie
3-Chlor-4—(2,2~dichlorcyclopropylmethoxy)~carbanilsäure~ methylester
3~Chlor~4— (2 t2«-dichlorcyclopropylmethoxy)~carbanilsäure-n«» propylester
47,0 g (0,176 Mol) 3-Chlor-4-(2,2-dichlorcyclopropylraethoxy)-anilin werden in 700 ml Toluol gelöst* Unter Feuchtigkeitsausschluß und kräftigem Rühren wird HCl-Gas eingeleitet, bis das Anilin vollständig als Hydrochlorid vorliegt« Die Reaktionsdauer beträgt ca, 30 Minuten. Anschließend erhitzt man das Gemisch auf 80 bis 90 C und leitet unter fortwährendem Rühren einen schwachen Phosgenstrom ein» Die Reaktionstemperatur wird dabei auf 80 bis 90 °C gehalten. Nach ca. 2 Stunden hat sich das Hydrochlorid vollständig zum Isocyanat umgesetzt. Mach beendeter Reaktion (klare Lösung) wird zunächst im Wasserstrahlvakuum Toluol abdestilliert. Dann fraktioniert man dien Rückstand im ölpumpenvakuum« Kp. 0,2 :- 145 bis 47 0C
Ausbeute: 28 g = 54 % der Theorie 3-Chlor-4-(2i2-dichlorcyclopropylmethoxy)-phenyl-isocyanat
8,0 g (0,0273 Mol) 3~Chlor~4-(2,2~dichlorcyclopropyl~ methoxy)-phenylisocyanat werden in 100 ml absolutem

Diethylether gelöst und mit 3 Tropfen Triethylamin versetzt. Bei Raumtemperatur werden unter Rühren und Feuchtigkeitsitausschluß 2,1 ml (0,0273 Mol) n-Propanol in 10 ml absolutem Diethylether eingetropft.
Zur vollständigen Umsetzung wird ca, 2 Stunden am Rückfluß erhitzt. Anschließend destilliert man den Ether ab und kristallisiert das Rohprodukt aus Essigester/Hexan um, Fp. 57 bis 59 0C
Ausbeute: 9,20 g = 95 % der Theorie 3-Ghlor-4~(2,2-dichlorcyclopropylmethoxy)-carbanilsäure-npropylester

Die erfindungsgemäEen Verbindungen sind in Aceton, Essigsäureethylester und Alkohol gut löslich. Dagegen lösen sie sich mäßig in Benzol und sind in gesättigten Kohlenwasserstoffen und Wasser praktisch unlöslich.
Die folgenden Beispiele dienen zur Erläuterung der Anwendungsmöglichkeiten der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen in entsprechender Zubereitung.

Im Gewächshaus wurden die in der Tabelle aufgeführten erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen als wäßrige Emulsionen bzw» Suspensionen in einer Aufwandmenge von 5 kg Wirkstoff/ha in 500 1 V/asser/ha auf die in der Tabelle aufgeführten Pflanzen im Nachauflaufverfahren gespritzt.
3 Wochen nach der Behandlung wurde das Behandlungsergebnis bonitiert, wobei
0 - keine Wirkung und
4 = Vernichtung der Pflanzen bedeuten»
Wie aus der Tabelle ersichtlich wird, wurde eine Vernichtung der Unkrautpflanzen erreicht, während die Gerstenkultur ungeschädigt blieb.
