Gruppe ausgewählt ist, die aus Alkyl- und Halogenalkylresten besteht.
Diese" erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen sind nützliche Herbizide
und sind insbesondere für die Bekämpfung von grasartigen Unkräutern in Feldfrüchten wie Sojabohnen von
Nutzen.
Vorzugsweise sind bei der vorliegenden Erfindung R niedrige Alkylreste; R2 und R3 Wasserstoff oder niedrige
Alkylreste; und X ist aus einer Gruppe ausgewählt, die aus niedrigen Alkylresten und niedrigen Halogenalkylresten
besteht. Der Begriff "niedriger" bedeutet in der vorliegenden Anmeldung bei seiner Verwendung mit dem
Begriff Alkylrest, daß der Rest eine gerade oder verzweigte Kohlenstoffkette von bis zu 6 kohlenstoffatomen
enthält. Bei besonders bevorzugten Ausführungsformen der vorliegenden Erfindung ist X ein Trifluormethyl- oder
tert.-Butyl-Rest.
Die Verbindungen der vorliegenden Erfindung können hergestellt
werden, indem eine Verbindung der Formel II

in der X, R1, R2 und R3 v/ie oben bei Formel I definiert
sind und Y ein Methyl- oder Ethyl-Rest ist, mit Ethylenglykol umgesetzt wird.

Diese Reaktion kann in der Gegenwart einer katalytischen
Menge von p-Toluolsulfonsäure bewirkt werden. Die Reaktionsmischung
f äie die Reaktanten und den Katalysator
in etwa equimolaren Mengen enthält, kann auf Temperaturen
von etwa 10.00C bis etwa 1400C für einen Zeitraum von
etwa 1 bis etwa 8 Stunden erhitzt werden. Nach dieser zeit wird Natrxuiakarbonat zugesetzt, um den Katalysator
zu neutralisieren. Es kann dann Ethylacetat zugesetzt werden, und die Mischung kann mit Wasser gewaschen werden
und über Natriumsulfat getrocknet. Das gewünschte
JO Produkt kann nach der Verdampfung des verwendeten Lösungsmittels
erhalten werden.
Die Verbindungen von Formel II können dadurch hergestellt

Diese Reaktion kann durch Erhitzen einer Mischung der bei-3g
den genannten Reaktanten in einem inerten Reaktionsmeüium an Rückfluß in Gegenwart eines Säureakzeptors wie
einen Alkalimetallkarbonat oder -bikarbonat oder einem
tertiären Amin erreicht werden. In wirksamer Weise können
etwa equimolare Menge der Reaktanten verwendet werden.
Eine Reaktionszeit von etwa 1 Stunde reicht aus, die Re-
5 aktion zu Ende zu führen.
Die Verbindungen gemäß Formel IV können dadurch herge-'

Diese Reaktion kann dadurch bewirkt werden, daß man portionsweise
die Verbindung gemäß Formel VI zu· einer Lösung der Verbindung gemäß Formel V in einem inerten organischen
Lösungsmittel wie Dimethylformamid bei Raumtemperatur zugibt. Es können etwa equiraolare Mengen der
Reaktanten verwendet werden. Nachdem die Zugabe abgeschlossen ist, kann die Reaktion'smischung für einen Zeit-

raurr. von bis zu etwa 50 Stunden unter Stickstoff bei
einer Temperatur erhitzt werden, die bis zur Rückflußtemperatur
der Mischung betragen kann. Nach dieser Zeit kann Wasser zugesetzt werden, und die Mischung
kann neutralisiert werden. Die organische Phase kann von 35
aer wässrigen Phase getrennt werden, und das Lösungsmit-
tel kann abgezogen werden, wobei das gewünschte Produkt
erhalten wird.
Die Verbindungen der vorliegenden Erfindung können auch
dadurch hergestellt werden, daß eine Verbindung der Formel VII

in der R >■R2 und R3 wie oben beschrieben definiert sind,
nit einer Verbindung gemäß Formel III umgesetzt wird. Diese Reaktion kann so ausgeführt werden, daß man die
Verbindung gemäß Formel VII in einem inerten Lösungsmittel
wie Toluol löst und in Gegenwart eines Säureakzeptors wie einem tertiären Amin einen geringen Überschuß über
die molare Menge der Verbindung gemäß Formel III zugibt.
Die Reaktionsmischung kann dann auf Temperaturen erhitzt
werden, (ixe sich bis zur Rückflußtemperatur der Mischung
erstrecken können. Nach dem Abschluß der Reaktion kann
die Mischung mit einer Base gewaschen werden, und das gewünschte Produkt kann gewonnen werden, indem das verwendete
Lösungsmittel abgezogen wird. Das Produkt
kann dann so wie es ist verwendet werden, oder es kann
nach üblichen.Techniken weiter gereinigt werden. Beispiele
für Verbindungen gemäß Formel III, die für die Herstellung der Verbindungen dieser Erfindung·verwendet
werden können, sind 4-Chlor-3,5-dinitrobenzotrifluorid,

4-Chlor-3,5-dinitrotoluol und 2-Chlor-3,5-dinitrobutyl-
benzol.
Beispiele für Verbindungen von Formel IV für die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen sind N-Propyl-N-35
- (2,2-dimethoxyethyl)amin, N-Ethyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)
χ amin, N-Methyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)amin, N-Butyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)amin,
N-Propy1-N-(1-Methyl-2,2-dimethoxyethyl)amin,
N-Hexyl-N-O-propyl-2,2-diethoxyethyl)amin
und ähnliche Verbindungen.

Die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen wird
■ anhand von Ausführungsbeispxelen durch die nachfolgenden
Beispiele genauer erläutert.
in Beispiel 1
Propylamin (100ml) und 1-Brom-2,2-.diethoxvethan (50 ml) wur-2g
den in einen gläsernen Reaktionskolben gegeben, der mit einen Rührer, einem Thermometer, einem Erhitzer und einem
Rückflußkühler versehen war. Die Reaktionsmischung wurde dann für einen Zeitraum von einer Stunde unter Rühren
zum Rückfluß erhitzt. Nach dieser Seit wurde die Mischung mit 50 gewichtsprozentiger wässriger Natriumhydroxidlösung
behandelt und dann bei vermindertem Druck destilliert, wobei das gewünschte Produkt N-Propyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)
amin erhalten wurde.
25 Beispiel 2
Herstellung von N-n-Propyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)-2,6-dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin
30. 4-Chlor-3,5-dinitrobenzotrifluorid (5,4 0g; 0,02 Mol) wurde
in einen gläsernen Reaktionskolben gegeben, der N-n-Propyl-li-2,2-diethoxyethylamin
(3,5gr 0,02 Mol), Triethylamin (2,02g; 0,02 MoI) und Ethanol (100ml) enthielt und
mit einem Rührer, einem Thermometer, einem Heizmantel' und
einem Rückflußkühler versehen war. Die Mischung wurde aia Rückfluß für einen Zeitraum von etwa einer Stunde er-
hitzt. Nach dieser Zeit wurde die Mischung abgekühlt und
das Lösungsmittel vom Produkt abgezogen. Zu aera erhaltenen Feststoff wurde Benzol zugesetzt, und die Mischung
wurde mit Wasser gewaschen, über Natriumsulfat getrocknet und eingedampft, wobei ein dunkles öl (8,0g) erhalten
wurde. Dieses Öl wurde über Kieselgel chromatographiert,
wobei es in einer 3;1-Lösung von Benzol und Ethylacetat gelöst wurde. Das erhaltene Produkt wurde
dann durch Abziehen des Lösungsmittels isoliert, und N-n-Propyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)-2,6-dinitro-5-trifluormethylanilin
wurde in Form eines Öls erhalten.
Herstellung von N-Propyl-N-1 ,3-dio3colan-2-yl-methyl- ·
2,6-dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin ' -
N-(2,2-Diethoxyethyl)-N-propyl-2,6-dinitro~4-trifluor-Irιethylanilin
(5,5g; 0,0132 Mol), Ethylenglykol (0,84g; : *
G,0132 Mol), p-Toluolsulfonsäure (200iag) sowie als Lösungsmittel
Ethanol wurden -in einen gläsernen Reaktions- **
kolben gegeben, der mit einem Rührer, einem Heizmantel und einem Thermometer versehen war. Die Mischung wurde
auf 1200C erhitzt. Nachdem die Reaktion abgeschlossen
war,- wurde die Mischung auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt, Ethylacetat zugegeben und die Mischung mit Wasser und
einer Natriumbikarbonatlösung gewaschen. Die Lösung wurde dann über wasserfreiem Magnesiumsulfat getrocknet und
eingedampft, wobei das gewünschte Produkt. N-Propyl-N-
3® 1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin
in Form eines Öls erhalten wurde.
Herstellung von N-Methyl-N-(2,2-dimethoxyethyl) -2,6-di- *
nitro-4-tr if luormethylanilin .„__ . L_.
χ 4-Chlor-3,5-dinitrobenzotrlfluorid(5,4g; 0,02 Mol) in Benzol
gelöst wurde in ein gläsernes Reaktionsgefäß gegeben, das mit einem mechanischen Rührer und einem Tropftrichter
versehen war. N-Methyl-N-2,2-dimethoxyethylamin (2,4g;
0,02 Mol) und Triethylamin (2,02g; 0,02 Mol), beide in Benzol (50ml) gelöst, wurden dann tropfenweise unter
Rühren zugegeben. Nachdem die Zugabe abgeschlossen war, wurde das Rühren noch für einen Zeitraum von einer Stunde
fortgesetzt, wobei sich ein Niederschlag bildete. Die
, n Reaktionsmischung wurde filtriert, um das Säureakzeptorsalz
abzutrennen, und chromatographiert. Die Lösung wurde
danach eingedampft,und lieferte einen Feststoff. Dieser Feststoff wurde aus Hexan umkristallisiert und lieferte
das gewünschte Produkt N-Methyl-N- (2, 2-diraethoxyethyl-2,6-dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin
mit dem Schmelzpunkt von 48 bis 500C.
Beispiel 5 Herstellung von N-Methyl-N-1,3-
N-Methyl-N- (2, 2-diinethoxyethyl) -2,6-dinitro-4-trif luornethylanilin
(3,2g; 0,0915MoI), Ethylenglykol (0,57g;
0,0915 Mol), p-Toluolsulfonsäure (200mg) und Ethylacetat
wurden in ein gläsernes Reaktionsgefäß gegeben, das mit
einem Rührer, einem Heizmantel, einem Rückflußkühler und einem Thermometer versehen war. Die Reaktionsmischung
wurde unter anhaltendem Rühren eine Stunde auf 1200C erhitzt.
Nach dieser Zeit wurde die Mischung auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt und mit wässrigem Natriumbikarbonat
gewaschen. Die gewaschene Lösung wurde über wasserfreiem Natriumsulfat getrocknet, filtriert und das Lösungsmittel
warde abgezogen, wobei ein fester Rückstand blieb. Der Rückstand wurde aus Hexan umkristallisiert und lieferte
das gewünschte N-Methyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethy1-2,β-

1 dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin in Form eines gelben
kristallinen Festkörpers, der bei 83°C schmolz.

Ethylaiuin (38g) und 1-Brom-2,2-diethoxy ethan (20g)
wurden in ein gläsernes Reaktionsgefäß gegeben, das mit einem mechanischen Rührer, einem Thermometer und einem
Rückflußkühler versehen war. Die Reaktionsmischung wurde .·. über Nacht am Rückfluß erhitzt. Nach dieser Zeit wurde
die Mischung mit wässrigem Natriumhydroxid gewaschen, und die organische Phase wurde von der wässrigen Phase
abgetrennt. Die organische Phase wurde darauf destilliert und lieferte das gewünschte Produkt·N-Ethyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl
) amin in Form eines Öls.
Beispiel 7 20
Herstellung N- EthytN-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)-2,6-dinitro--4-tr if luormethylanilin ·
4-Chlor-3,5-dinitrobenzotrifluorid (5,4g; 0,02 Mol) in
Toluol (50ml) sowie eine Lösung von N-Ethyl-I-1- (2,2-diethoxyethyl)
amin (3,2g; 0,02 Mal) und Triethylamin (2,02g; 0,02 Mol) in Toluol (50ml) wurden in einen gläsernen
Reaktionskolben gegeben, der mit einem Rührer, einem Thermometer und einem Rückflußkühler versehen
SQ war. Die Mischung wurde über Nacht am Rückfluß erhitzt,
wobei sich ein Niederschlag bildete. Die Reaktionsmischung wurde dann filtriert, und das Filtrat wurde mit Wasser
gewaschen, getrocknet und das Lösungsmittel wurde abgezogen, wobei das gewünschte Produkt N-Ethyl-N-(2,2- . ·
^ diethoxyethyl)-2,6-dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin erhalten
wurde.

Beispiel 8
Herstellung von N-Ethyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-üinitro-4-trifluormethy!anilin
N-Ethyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)-2,6-dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin
(6,10g; 0,0154 Mol), Ethylenglykol (0,96g; 0,0154 Mo!) und Toluolsulfonsäure (200mg) wurden in ein
gläsernes Reaktionsgefäß gegeben, das mit einem Rührer und einem Thermometer versehen war. Die Reaktionslaischung
wurde für zwei Stunden auf 1100C erhitzt. Nach dieser Zeit wurde die Mischung auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt,
in Ethylacetat gelöst und mit Wasser und einer gesättigten Lösung von wässrigem Natriumbikarbonat gewaschen.
Das gewaschene Produkt wurde dann getrocknet und das Lösungsmittel
wurde abgezogen, wobei das gewünschte Produkt N-Ethyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin
in Form eines Öls erhalten wurde.
Herstellung von N-Ethyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)-2,6-dinitro-p-toluidin
[
4-Chlor-3,5-dinitrotoluol (4,3.2g; 0,02MoI), N-Ethyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)amin
(3,2g; 0,02 Mol),Triethylamin (2,02g; 0,02 Mol) und Toluol (100ml) wurden in ein gläsernes
Reaktionsgefäß gegeben, das mit einem mechanischen Rührer, einem Thermometer und einem Rückflußkühler
versehen war. Die Reaktionsmischung wurde über Nacht am Rückfluß erhitzt, wobei sich ein Niederschlag bildete.
Die Reaktionsmischung wurde dann filtriert, und das FiI-trat wurde mit Wasser gewaschen, getrocknet und das Lösungsmittel
wurde·abgezogen, wobei das gewünschte. Produkt
. N-Ethyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)-2,6-dinitro-p-toluidin erhalten

.N-Ethyl-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)-2,6-dinitro-p-toluidin
(5,2g; 0,0132 Mol)·, Ethylenglykol (0,32g; 0,0132 Mol) und
Toluolsulfonsäure (200mg) wurden in ein gläsernes Reaktionsgefäß gegeben, das mit einem mechanischen Rührer
und einem Thermometer versehen war. Die Reaktionsmischung wurde für einen Zeitraum von einer Stunde auf 1100C erhitzt. Nach dieser Zeit wurde die Mischung in Ethylacetat
gelöst, und die erhaltene Lösung wurde mit einer wässrigen Base gewaschen, getrocknet, und das Lösungsmittel
wurde abgezogen, wobei das gewünschte Produkt N-Ethyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-p-toluidin
in Form eines braunen Öls erhalten wurde.
Die folgenden Beispiele 11 bis 15 geben die wie oben
durchgeführten Umsetzungen zur Herstellung weiterer erfindungsgemäßer
Verbindungen verkürzt unter ausschließlicher Nennung von Ausgangs- und Endprodukten wieder.

4-t-Butyl-2,6-dinitrochlorbenzol(1,8g; 0,007 Mol),N-(1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)-methylethylamin
(1,83g; 0,014 liol) und Toluol (50ml) wurden in ein gläsernes Reaktionsgefäß ge-"^O
geben, das mit einem Rührer, einem Heizmantel, einen Rückflußkühler und einem Thermometer versehen war. Die
Reaktionsnischung wurde auf 900C erhitzt und unter Rühren
72 Stunden bei dieser Temperatur gehalten. Zu der abgekühlten Reaktionsmischung wurde Diethylether (50ml) zugegeben,
wonach die Mischung filtriert und auf ein VoIu-

men von 10cm3 eingeengt wurde. Der Rückstand wurde auf Kieselgel chromatographiert, um nicht umgesetztes Äusgangsmaterial
zu entfernen. Das Produkt (1,7g) wurde in Form eines Öls erhalten, das beim Stehen verfestigte

Herstellung von N-Propyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethy1-2,6-nitro-4-t-bu ty !anilin

4-t-3utyl-2,6-dinitrochlorbenzol(1,8g; 0,007 Mol) N-(1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)methylpropylamin
(2,02g; 0,0014 KoI) und Toluol (50ml) wurden in ein gläsernes Reaktionsgefäß, gegeben,
das mit einem Rührer, einem Heizmantel, einem Rückfluökühler und einem Thermometer versehen war. Die
Reaktionsmischung wurde auf 900C erhitzt und bei dieser
Temperatur unter Rühren 72 Stunden gehalten. Ethylether .(5OmI) wurde zu der gekühlten Reaktionsmischung zugesetzt,
die danach filtriert und auf ein Volumen von 10cm3 eingeengt wurde. Der Rückstand wurde auf Kieselgel
chromatographiert, um nicht umgesetztes Ausgangsmaterial,
zu entfernen. Das Produkt (1,2g) wurde als rotes öl erhalten.

Herstellung von N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2f 6-ünitro-4-t-butylanilin
-Χι 2-t-Butyl-2,6-dinitrochlorbenzol(l,8g; 0,007 MoI), Aminoacetaldehyddimethylacetal
(1,5g; 0,0014 Mol) und Toluol (50ml) wurden in ein gläsernes Reaktionsgefäß gegeben,
das mit einem Rührer, einem Heizmantel, einem Rückflußkühler und einem Thermometer versehen war, und über
Nacht gerührt. Zu der Reaktionsmischung wurde Diethylether (50ml) zugesetzt, wonach die Mischung filtriert
wurde und das Filtrat eingedampft wurde. Dann wurden Toluol (50ml), Ethylenglykol (0,49g) und p-Toluolsulfonsäure
zugegeben, und die Lösung wurde zwei Stunden am Rückfluß erhitzt. Danach wurde die Hälfte des Toluols
durch Abdestillieren entfernt. Der Rückstand wurde an Kieselgel, chromatographiert, um nicht umgesetzte Ausgangsmaterialien
zu entfernen. Das Produkt (1,3g) wurde in Form eines gelben Festkörpers (Schmelzpunkt 81 bis 82°C)
erhalten.

Bromaceton (80g; 0,58 Mol), Ethylenglykol (37,2g; 0,.O6 Mol)
Toluol (250ml) und p-Toluolsulfonsäure (400mg) wurden in
ein gläsernes Reaktionsgefäß gegeben,das mit einem Rührer und einem Thermometer versehen war. Die Mischung wurde
15 unter Rühren in einem heißen ölbad auf 1200C solange
erhitzt, bis aus der Mischung kein flüchtiges Material
mehr freigesetzt wurde. Dann wurde die Temperatur auf
14O0C für einen' Zeitraum von 4 Stunden erhöht, und die
Mischung wurde durch Zugabe von Natriumkarbonat (5g) neutralisiert.
Die Mischung wurde dann mit Wasser gewaschen, über wasserfreiem Magnesiumsulfat getrocknet. Es wurde
ein braunes öl (102g) erhalten, das über Natriumkarbonat destilliert wurde. Die Natur des gewünschten Produkts
wurde durch'kernmagnetische Resonanzspektren bestätigt.

Herstellung von 2-(Ethylamino)methyl-2-methyl-1,3-dioxo-

Ethylamin (115g; 1,77MoI) und 2-:iethyl-2-broinmethyl-1 ,3-dioxolan
(32g; 0,177 Mol) wurden in ein Bombenröhr aus rostfreiem'Stahl gegeben und fünf Stunden auf einem Dampfbad
erhitzt. Die Temperatur der Mischung wurde für einen Zeitraum von 15 Stunden auf 12O0C erhöht. Die Mischung
vmrde abgekühlt, und Ether (200ml) wurden zugesetzt. Es
wurde Natriumhydroxid (25g) zugesetzt, und die Etherschicht wurde abgetrennt und über Magnesiumsulfat getrocknet.
Der Ether wurde verdampft, wobei das gewünschte Produkt (10,3g) zurückblieb, dessen Struktur durch kernmagnetische
Resonanzspektroskopie festgestellt wurde.
Herstellung von N-Ethyl-(2-Methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)methyl-4-t-butyl-2,6-dinitroanilin
4-t-Butyl-2,6-dinitrochlorbenzol (2,5g; 0,01 Mol), 2-(Ethylamino)methyl-2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan
(2,9g; 0,02MoI)
!5 und Toluol (50ml) wurden in ein gläsernes Reaktionsgefäß
gegeben, das mit einem Rührer, einem Ölbad und einem Thermometer versehen war, und unter Rühren für einen Zeitraum

Für ihre praktische Verwendung als Herbizide werden die
erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen im allgemeinen in herbizide
Zusammensetzungen eingearbeitet, die einen inerten Träger und eine im Sinne ihrer Verwendung als Herbizide
toxische Menge einer derartigen Verbindung enthalten.
Derartige herbizide Zusammensetzungen, die auch Formulierungen genannt werden können, machen es möglich, die aktive
Verbindung in geeigneter Weise an den Ort des Unkrautbefalls in jeder gewünschten Menge aufzubringen.
.Diese Zusammensetzungen können Feststoffe wie Stäube, Granulate oder Netzpulver sein; oder sie können Flüssigkeiten
wie Lösungen, Aerosole oder emulgierbare Konzentrate sein. - -.
So können z.B. Stäube dadurch hergestellt werden, daß die
aktive Verbindung mit einem festen inerten Träger wie einem Talk, Tonen, Siliciumoxiden, Pyrophyllit und dergleichen
zermahlen und gemischt wird. Granulatformulierungen können dadurch hergestellt werden, daß die Verbindung,
die üblicherweise in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel gelöst ist, in und auf granulierte Träger wie
Attapulgite oder Vermiculite, üblicherweise von einer Teilchengröße von etwa 0,3 bis 1,5mm, einimprägniert'werden.
Netzpulver, die in Wasser oder öl in jeder gewünschten Konzentration der aktiven Verbindung dispergiert werden
können, können dadurch hergestellt werden, daß netz-

j mittel in konzentrierte Staub-Zusammensetzungen eingearbeitet
werden.
In einigen Fällen sind die aktiven Verbindungen ausreichend löslich in üblichen organischen Lösungsmitteln wie
Kerosin oder Xylol, so daß sie direkt in Form von Lösungen in diesen Lösungsmitteln verwendet werden können.
Häufig können Lösungen von Herbiziden unter überdruck als Aerosole dispergiert werden. Bevorzugte flüssige
■jn herbizide Zusammensetzungen sind jedoch■emulgierbare Konzentrate,
die eine aktive erfindungsgemäße Verbindung sowie als den inerten Träger ein Lösungsmittel und einen
Emulgator enthalten.
Derartige emulgierbare Konzentrate können mit Wasser und/ oder öl bis auf jede gewünschte Konzentration der aktiven
Verbindung gestreckt werden, so daß sie in Form von Sprühmitteln auf den Ort des Unkrautbefalls aufgebracht
werden können. Die in derartigen Konzentraten am weitesten verbreiteten Emulgatoren sind nicht ionische oberflächenaktive
Mittel oder deren Mischungen mit anionischen oberflächenaktiven Mitteln. Unter Verwendung von bestimmten
Emulgatorsystemen kann eine "inverse" Emulsion (Wasser
in öl) für ihre direkte Anwendung auf verunkrauteten
25 Stellen hergestellt werden.
Eine typische herbizide Zusammensetzung gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung wird durch das nachfolgende Beispiel
beschrieben, in dem die angegebenen Mengen Gewichtsteile sind.

Die oben angegebenen Bestandteile werden in einem mechanischen
Mischer unter Vermählen gemischt und solange gemahlen, bis ein homogener, frei fließender Staub der
gewünschten Teilchengröße erhalten wird. Dieser Staub ist
geeignet, direkt auf den Ort des Befalls mit Unkräutern aufgebracht zu werden.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen können in jeder dem
Fachmann bekannten Art als Herbizide verwendet werden.
Ein Verfahren zur Bekämpfung von Unkräutern besteht darin,
daß der Ort des Befalls mit diesen Unkräutern mit einer herbiziden Zusammensetzung behandelt wird, die einen inerten Träger und als einen wesentlichen aktiven Wirkstoff
in einer Menge, die herbizid toxisch gegenüber den genannten
Unkräuter ist, eine Verbindung gemäß dieser Erfindung enthält. Die Konzentration der neuen erfindungsgernäßen
Verbindungen in den herbiziden Zusammensetzungen können in einem weiten Bereich variieren, und zwar in
Abhängigkeit vom Typ der Formulierung und vom Zweck, für
den diese bestimmt ist, wobei jedoch im allgemeinen die herbiziden Zusammensetzungen von etwa 0,05 bis etwa 95
Gewichtsprozent der erfindungsgemäßen aktiven Verbindungen enthalten werden. In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung enthalten die herbiziden
Zusammensetzungen von etwa 5 bis 75 Gewichtsprozent der aktiven Verbindung. Die Zusammensetzungen können auch
zusätzliche Substanzen wie andere Pestizide, wie Insektizide, Nematozide, Fungizide und dergleichen enthalten,
ferner Stabilisatoren, Ausbreitungsmittel, Desaktivie- .-
3^ rungsmittel, Adhäsionsmittel, Klebemittel, Düngemittel,
Aktivierungsmittel, nsynergetika und dergleichen.
Die Verbindungen der vorliegenden Erfindung sind auch sehr nützlich, wenn sie mit anderen Herbiziden und/oder
^ Entlaubungsmitteln,Austrocknungsmitteln, Wuchsinhibitoren
und dergleichen in herbiziden Zusammensetzungen wie
oben beschrieben verwendet werden. Diese anderen Materialien können von etwa 5 bis etwa 95% der aktiven Bestandteile
der herbiziden Zusammensetzungen ausmachen. Die Verwendung von Kombinationen von diesen anderen Herbiziden
und/oder Entlaubungsmitteln, Austrocknungsmitteln usw. mit den erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen schaffen
herbizide Zusammensetzungen, die bezüglich einer Bekämpfung von Unkräutern von gesteigerter Wirksamkeit sind
und oft Resultate liefern, die mit einzelnen Zusammen-Setzungen der individuellen Herbizide nicht erreicht
werden können. Die anderen Herbizide, Entlaubungsmittel, Austrocknungsmittel und Wuchsinhibitoren, die mit den
erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen zusammen in herbiziden Zusammensetzungen zur Unkrautbekämpfung verwendet werden
können, können Chlorphenoxyherbizide wie 2,4-D, 2,4,5-T, MCPA, MCPB, 4(2,4-DB), 2,4-DEB, 4-CPA, 4-CPP, 2,4,5TB;
2',4,5-TES, 3,4-DA, Silvex und dergleichen, Carbamat-Herbizide
wie IPC, CIPC, Swep, Barban, BCPC, CEPC, CPPC und dergleichen; Thiocarbamat- und Dithiocarbamat-Herbizide
wie CDEC, Methamnatrium, EPTC, Diallat, PEBC, Perbulat,
Vernolat, und dergleichen; substituierte Harnstoff-Herbizide wie Norea, Siduron, Dichloralharnstoff, Chloroxuron,
Cycluron, Fenuron, Monuron, Monuron TCA, Diuron, Kinuron,·

Ester, Amide und anderer Derivate verwendet werden, wenn diese von der speziellen Stammverbindung erzeugt werden

Unter Unkräutern sind unerwünschte Pflanzen zu verstehen, die dort wachsen, wo sie nicht erwünscht sind, die keinen
ökonomischen Wert aufweisen und die Erzeugung von kultivierten
Feldfrüchten, die Zucht von Zierpflanzen oder das Wohlergehen des Viehs beeinträchtigen. Es sind verschiedene Typen von Unkräutern bekannt zu denen einjährige Unkräuter
wie Gänsefuß, Fuchsschwanz, Fingerhirse, Ackersenf, Ackertäschlkraut, Weidelgras, Klebkraut, Hornkraut
Wilder Hafer, Chinajute, Portulak, Hühnerhirse, Bitter-
j knoterich,·Vogelknöterich, Spitzklette, Wilder Buchweizen;
Kochia, Luzerne, Kornrade, Jakobskreuzkraut, Kohlgänsedistel, Kassie, Croton, Cuphea, Teufelszwirn, Erdrauch,
Kreuzkraut, Hohlzahn, "knowel", Wolfsmilch, Ackersparg,
Emex, Dschungelreis, Laichkraut, Hundskamille, Weichkraut, Trichterwinde, Labkraut, Wasserhirse und Nixenkraut gehören; zweijährige Pflanzen wie die Wilde Möhre, die Kamille,
Mäusegerste, Feuer- oder Lichtnelke, Ackerkamille, Klette, Wollkraut, rundblättrige Malve, Gemeine Kratzdistel,
!Q Hundszunge, Motten-Wollkraut und Purpursterndistel, oder
ausdauernde Pflanzen wie die Weiße Rade^das ausdauernde Weidelgras, die Quecke, Johnsongras, die Ackerdistel, die
Heckenwinde, Bermudagras, der Sauerampfer, der Krause . Ampfer, Cypergras, Ackerhornkraut, Löwenzahn, Glockenblume;
Ackerwinde, die Russische Flockenblume, Mesquite, Leinkraut, Schafgarbe, Aster, Steinsamen, Schachtelhalm, Amerikanisches
Eisenkraut, Sesbania, Seesimse, Rohrkolben und Barbarakraut.
In ähnlicher- Weise können derartige Unkräuter als breitblättrige und Grasunkräuter klassifiziert werden. Es ist
unter ökonomischen Gesichtspunkten .erwünscht, das Wachstum derartiger Unkräuter zu bekämpfen, ohne die
Nutzpflanzen oder das Vieh zu schädigen.
Die neuen erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen sind besonders
wertvoll zur Unkrautbekämpfung, weil sie für viele Arten und Gruppen von Unkräutern toxisch sind, während sie für
viele Nutzpflanzen relativ wenig toxisch sind. .Die genaue erforderliche Menge einer Verbindung hängt von einer Vielzahl von Faktoren ab, wozu die Hartnäckigkeit der speziellen
Unkrautart, das Wetter, der Bodentyp, die Art der Bodenbearbeitung, die Art der Aufbringung, die Art der
Nutzpflanzen im selben Bereich und dergleichen gehören.Semit
kann es sein, daß während einerseits die Anwendung von bis zu nur etwa 28 bis 57g der aktiven Verbindung pro Morgen

(0,405. ha) ausreichend sein kann, um einen leichten Unkrautbefall
mit Unkräutern, die unter für sie widrigen Bedingungen wachsen,in befriedigender Weise zu bekämpfen,
kann die Anwendung von 4,5kg und mehr an aktiver Verbindung pro Morgen erforderlich sein, wenn eine gute Bekämpfung
eines dichten Unkrautbefalls von widerstandsfähigen ausdauernden Unkräutern erzielt werden soll, die unter für
diese günstigen Bedingungen wachsen.
Die herbizide Toxizität der neuen Verbindungen kann anhand vieler der anerkannten und dem Fachmann bekannten Untersuchungstechniken,
wie bei der Vorauflauf- und der Nachauflauf-Untersuchung festgestellt werden.
Die herbizide Aktivität der Verbindungen dieser Erfindung
wurde in Versuchen gezeigt, die für die Vorauflauf-Bekämpfung
einer Vielzahl von Unkräutern durchgeführt wurden. Bei diesen Versuchen wurden in kle.ine Plastik-Gewächshaustöpfe,
die mit trockenem Boden gefüllt waren, ver-
20 schiedene Unkrautsamen gesät. . 24 Stunden oder weniger
nach dem Aussäen wurden die Töpfe mit Wasser besprüht, bis
der Boden feucht war, und die Verbindungen, die in einem
Lösungsmittel gelöst waren, das eine Mischung von 45 Volumenteilen
Aceton, 2 Volumenteilen Methanol und einem Volumenteil N,N-Dimethylformamid enthielt, wurden in den
angegebenen Konzentrationen auf die Oberfläche des Bodens gesprüht.
Nach dem Besprühen wurden die Gefäße mit dem Boden in das
Gewächshaus gegeben und mit zusätzlicher Wärme versorgt, soweit das erforderlich war, und täglich oder häufiger
gegossen. Die Pflanzen wurden unter diesen Bedingungen
für einen Zeitraum von 14 bis 21 Tagen gehalten, nach welcher
Zeit der Zustand der Pflanzen und der Grad ihrer Schädigung anhand einer Skala von 0 bis 10 bewertet wurde,
in der die einzelnen Bewertungsstufen wie folgt definiert sind:
= keine Schädigung, 1,2 = leichte Schädigung, 3, 4 = mäßige Schädigung, 5, 6 = mäßig starke Schädigung, 7, 8, 9
= starke Schädigung und 10 = Absterben. N.E. bedeutet, daß keine Pflanze aus dem Boden auftauchte. Die Wirksamkeit
dieser Verbindungen ist anhand der Daten in Tabelle I weiter unten gezeigt.
Die herbizide Wirksamkeit der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen
wurde ferner anhand von Experimenten gezeigt, die für die Nachauflaufbehandlung einer Vielzahl von Unkräutern
durchgeführt wurden. Bei diesen Versuchen wurden die zu testenden Verbindungen in wässrigen Emulsionen formuliert
und in den angegebenen Dosierungen auf das Blattwerk der Unkräuter gesprüht, die eine vorgeschriebene Größe erreicht
•15 hatten. Nach dem Besprühen wurden die Pflanzen in ein Gewächshaus gegeben und täglich oder häufiger gegossen.
Dabei wurde kein Wasser auf das Blattwerk der behandelten Pflanzen gebracht. Die Schwere der Schädigung wurde 14
Tage nach der Behandlung bestimmt und wurde anhand der oben beschriebenen Skala mit den Bewertungsgrößen von 0 bis 10
bewertet- Die Wirksamkeit dieser Verbindungen ist anhand der Daten in Tabelle II weiter unten gezeigt.
In beiden Tabellen I und II werden für die Unkräuter Abkürzungen
benützt. Dabei bedeuten die folgenden Abkürzungen jeweils die nachstehend rechts neben diesen Abkürzungen
angegebenen Unkrautarten, bzw. Arten von Feldfrüchten:

Claims (15)
- 314273!Patentansprüche . '/ 1. Verbindungen der Formel (I)KO15 in der R ein Alkylrest ist,2 3R und R unabhängig voneinander aus einer Gruppe ausgewählt sind, die. - 2. Verbindung .. nach Anspruch .1, nämlich N-Propyl-N-1 >3-diox olan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin.
- 3. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, nämlich N-Methyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-27-yl-methyl-2,6-dinitro-4-trif luormethylanilin.
- 4. Verbindung . nach Anspruch 1, nämlich N-Ethyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin.
- 5. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, nämlich Nr-Ethyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-p-toluidin. .
- 6. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, nämlich N-Propy 1-11-1,3-dio- ■ xolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-p-toluidin.
- 7. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, nämlich N-Methyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-p-toluidin.
- 8. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, nämlich N-Isopropyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-4-trifluormethylanilin.
- 9. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, nämlich N-Ethyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-4-t -butylanilin.
- 10.Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, nämlich N-Propyl-N-1,3-dioxolan-2-ylmethyl-2,6-dinitro-4-t -butylanilin.
- 11.Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, nämlich N-Ethyl-N-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)methyl-4-t -butyl-2,6-dinitroanilin.
- 12. Herbizide Zusammensetzung mit einem inerten Träger und einem Wirkstoff, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als wesentlichen Wirkstoff eine Verbindung nach einem der ' Ansprüche 1 bis 11 in einer für Unkräuter toxischen . Menge enthält.
- 13.Verfahren.zur Unkrautbekämpfung, bei dem die Unkräuter
- mit einer herbiziden Zusammensetzung in Kontakt gebracht werden, die einen inerten Träger und einen Wirkstoff enthält, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als wesentlichen Wirkstoff eine Verbindung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 11 in einer für Unkräuter toxischen .
- Menge enthält.
