Abstract

Изобретение обеспечивает микробную эукариотическую клетку, способную к утилизации С5 сахаров, в частности ксилозы. Другой задачей изобретения является обеспечение усовершенствованной белковой последовательности для обеспечения деградации С5 сахаров эукариотической клеткой. Таким образом, настоящее изобретение обеспечивает белок, содержащий аминокислотную последовательность, обладающую по меньшей мере 75% идентичностью, предпочтительно 80% идентичностью, более предпочтительно 90% идентичностью, наиболее предпочтительно 95% идентичностью с SEQ ID № 2 или SEQ ID № 8, и обладающий ксилозоизомеразной активностью в эукариотической клетке.
