Definitions
- the invention relates to a rapier weaving machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
- rapier weaving machines which are in widespread use today, the weft thread is inserted by a rapier and a rapier rapier, whereby a precise transfer of the thread in the middle area of the shed must be ensured.
- guide teeth With the help of guide teeth, a reliable transfer of the weft thread can be achieved, especially with wide weaving machines.
- Various forms of guide teeth are already known (see e.g. DE-AS-1 279 565).
- the disadvantage of the known guide teeth is that the entry belts are guided and that their edges are damaged by the grazing contact.
- the friction stress exposes fibers that have a very abrasive effect. Damaged entry belts are the cause of many warp thread breaks.
- a weaving machine with rapiers in which the rapier is guided by guide teeth and the reed.
- the guide part of the gripper is arranged on the side of the gripper head.
- the weft insertion element which is, for example, a looper band
- a gripper head which is wider than the entry belt.
- Guide elements engage on the edges of the gripper head. The guide elements are arranged with respect to the band in such a way that there can also be no contact between the band and the guide elements.
- Guide teeth can also be advantageous in weaving machines if the weft is inserted only on one side with a rapier and the pick-up is carried out outside the shed using a stationary device.
- the guide teeth 20 and 21 in FIG. 1 are fastened to the sley 1 with a fastening element 30. Such guide teeth are attached over the entire width of the sley 1.
- 2 shows how the gripper runner 10 within the shed, which is formed by the upper warp threads 7a and the lower warp threads 7b, is supported on the one hand by the guide tooth 20 against the reed 2 and on the other hand by the guide tooth 21 in the direction of tissue support 5 or tissue 8.
- the guide teeth can be arranged uniformly at constant intervals, the two guide teeth 20 and 21 preferably occurring alternately.
- rapier weaving machines in which the weft thread is transferred from the rapier to the holster rapier, it is advantageous to guide the guide teeth more frequently, i.e. with smaller distances to arrange; because the position of the grippers is to be brought under very particular control there.
- FIG 2 a cross section through a bringer gripper head 3 is schematically shown, which is attached to the top of the entry belt 4.
- the internal components of the gripper head e.g. the thread clamp are indicated with the box 3a.
- the entry belt 4 is at a greater distance from the lower warp threads 7b and is not directly above them, as is the case in the shed (chain-dotted warp threads 7a ', 7b') in previous rapier weaving machines - without guided grippers .
- the guide teeth 20, 21, a warp thread support 6 ' is not necessary, as a result of which the shed geometry can be improved by making the angle f larger than the corresponding angle f' in previous weaving machines.
- the guide teeth 20, 21 pass between the warp threads 7b of the lower shed.
- the guide teeth must be suitably shaped so that there are no problems such as warp thread breaks or the warp threads getting stuck.
- the edges that come into contact with the warp threads must be rounded or beveled.
- the tips of the guide teeth which can come into grazing contact behind the gripper runner with the flexible, somewhat sagging entry belt, must be shaped in such a way that the sensitive belt edges remain unaffected, so that any contact that occurs is somewhat offset to the inside of the belt.
- the length of the gripper skids 10 in the belt direction does not have to match the length of the gripper head. It is advantageous if the runner 10 is longer, so that always several guide teeth 20, 21 are in contact with it.
- the runner 10 should be as long as possible, namely as long as the space between the driving belt wheel and the sley allow.
- a long runner means a welcome stiffening of the entry band behind the Gripper head. So that the gripper does not become too massive due to a long runner, it can be designed as a hollow body.
- the mass of the runner 10 is advantageously chosen such that the common center of gravity with respect to the gripper head 3 and runner 10 comes to lie below the belt level. With the low center of gravity, it is avoided that, as is known for the previous rapier weaving machines, the rapier head is lifted off the sliding support.
- the guide teeth which are subject to constant frictional stress from the warp threads, must be made of a resistant material, preferably an abrasion-resistant metal alloy. So that no wear occurs on the guide teeth due to the sliding movement of the gripper runner 10, the runner 10 should be made of a softer material, e.g. made of a plastic.
- the cross-sectional profile of the gripper runner 10 can be convex, as is the case in FIG. 2. Another example is shown in FIG. 3, where the guidance takes place only on the flanks of the runner 10.
- the elongated shape of the guide teeth 20, 21 is well suited for a low-resistance penetration into the shed.
- FIG. 3 as well as in the following figures, only the entry belts 4 are shown in addition to the runner 10; the gripper heads are omitted. 4 shows an embodiment in which the sliding surfaces of the guide teeth 20, 21 are crescent-shaped.
- the complementary shape of the skid profile makes it impossible - in the event that the center of gravity lies above the belt level - to lift the gripper off the sliding support.
- Another possibility of suppressing the lifting of the gripper is also as follows: permanent magnets are inserted into the gripper runner 10.
- the guide teeth 20 are made entirely or partially of a ferromagnetic material. This magnetic lift-off protection is advantageously carried out with the embodiment of FIG. because there it is easy to set up a small distance between the magnets 10 and the guide teeth 20 inserted centrally in the runner.
- FIGS. 5a to 5c show cross sections through gripper runners 10 which have a longitudinal groove in the underside.
- the longitudinal groove in Fig.5a widens towards the bottom.
- the guide teeth 20 engaging in the longitudinal groove can all be of the same design. This also applies to the dovetail-shaped longitudinal groove in FIG. 5b.
- unequal guide teeth 20, 21 can also be used in this case, as shown in FIG. 5c.
- the longitudinal groove of the gripper runner 10 can of course also have a rectangular one.
- Guiding outside the shed can be done using a rail several centimeters long.
- 6 shows the cross-sectional profile of such a guide rail 25 with a corresponding cross-sectional profile of the gripper runner 10 as an exemplary embodiment.
- the guiding within the shed can be carried out by teeth 20 as shown in FIG. 5a (shown in broken lines). With a skid profile as in FIG. 4, it is of course also possible that the same sliding surfaces are used for the guide rail 25 as well as for the guide teeth 20, 21.
