Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for preventing congestion before an inlet of a drainage pipe, in particular before an inlet of a pipe for roof drainage, with a sieve element for catching washed-up dirt parts.
- Such congestion occurs, for example, when a roof surface is drained, because the rainwater running off the roof surface feeds dirt particles to the inlet of the drainage pipe, for example in the form of leaves, grasses and smaller branches. Since dirt particles entering the drainage pipe can lead to blockage of the drainage pipe, a sieve element is usually arranged at least in the area of the inlet of the drainage pipe. For example, it is known from DE 29 06 816 C2 to insert a basket-shaped sieve element into the inlet of a gutter downpipe or a roof drain.
- the sieve element catches the dirt parts before the inlet of the drainage pipe, but favors the accumulation of the dirt parts in the area of the inlet.
- the accumulated dirt particles clog the sieve element and thus prevent the rainwater from flowing out.
- the rainwater builds up, so that the roof structure is subjected to an additional static load and moisture damage can occur.
- the usual remedy is to regularly remove dirt from the sieve element at least.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a device for preventing congestion before the entry of a
- the device has at least one cutting tool arranged essentially parallel to the surface of the sieve element and that a relative movement can be carried out between the cutting tool and the sieve element, so that a dirt part which has penetrated into the sieve element can be sheared off.
- Drainage pipe are discharged. In this way, dirt can no longer collect in front of the screen element and clog it.
- the only decisive factor for the shearing process is that there is a relative movement between the cutting tool and the sieve element.
- the shape or type of the relative movement can be chosen arbitrarily. For example, a translatory, a rotary and / or a reversing relative movement can take place between the cutting tool and the sieve element.
- the cutting tool and / or the sieve element can optionally be moved.
- the cutting tool and the screen element can be moved in opposite directions or in the same direction but at different speeds.
- the cutting tool is preferably movable relative to the stationary sieve element.
- the relative movement between the cutting tool and the screen element can be brought about by a drive unit.
- the cutting tool can be moved directly by the drive unit or via a transmission element interposed between the drive unit and the cutting tool. If the cutting tool is moved directly by the drive unit, the drive unit can be selected according to the shape of the relative movement to be generated. For example, the drive unit can generate a drive force that is reversible in its direction, which enables a translatory, reversing relative movement of the cutting tool with respect to the sieve element.
- the drive unit can be designed as a piston-cylinder unit.
- the drive unit can alternatively generate a torque and, for example, have a drive shaft connected to the cutting tool.
- the cutting tool can perform a rotational relative movement with respect to the sieve element, in which the drive shaft forms the axis of rotation for the cutting tool.
- the drive shaft can run approximately at right angles to the surface of the sieve element, and the cutting tool can rest on the surface of the sieve element.
- the direction of rotation of the torque can be reversible in the drive unit, so that the cutting tool can also perform a reversing, rotational relative movement.
- a transmission element in the form of a crank drive can be provided, which has a crank driven by the drive unit and a connecting rod connected to the cutting tool, so that the cutting tool can perform a reversing, translational relative movement.
- the drive unit can be designed, for example, as an electric motor.
- the drive unit can be powered by the public power grid or by photovoltaic modules.
- the drive unit is preferably designed as a wind power machine.
- Such a drive unit has a drive shaft to which rotor blades are attached via at least one hub.
- the rotor blades can each be supported in the hub with one end.
- the rotor blades can be arranged in a plane running approximately at right angles to the drive shaft.
- the drive unit can have two hubs spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the drive shaft.
- the rotor blades can be curved in the shape of an arc and each end can be mounted in a hub.
- the drive shaft of the drive unit provided with the rotor blades preferably occupies a horizontal or vertical position in space.
- the drive unit designed as a wind power machine has the advantage that the torque generated automatically reverses its direction of rotation when the wind direction changes, so that the cutting tool carries out a reversing, rotary relative movement from time to time. In this way, a cutting tool that has become stuck in a smaller branch, for example, becomes operational again.
- the cutting tool has at least one cutting edge.
- the cutting edge can be wedge-shaped so that it can easily penetrate into the dirt part. Since the cutting tool is also moved in a reversing manner, it is advantageous if it has two opposing cutting edges so that, for example, the first cutting edge inserted in one side of the branch can be pulled out and the branch can then be sheared off from the second cutting edge from the other side .
- the Cutting edges can be arranged, for example, in the region of the longitudinal edges of the cutting tool that rest against the screen element.
- the sieve element can, for example, have webs with meshes in between, and the edges of the webs facing the cutting tool can be designed as cutting edges.
- the cross section of a web can be trapezoidal, the edges of the web lying at an acute angle forming two cutting edges.
- the sieve element of the device can be insertable into the inlet of the drainage pipe.
- the sieve element can be designed, for example, in the shape of a cover, so that it can be inserted flat into the inlet of the drainage pipe, similar to a manhole cover.
- the sieve element can also be designed as a sieve body. It is preferably rotationally symmetrical, for example in the form of a hollow cylinder or spherically.
- the cutting tool lies against the surface of the sieve element in all areas if the cutting tool is shaped in accordance with the longitudinal sectional contour of the sieve element.
- the sieve element is designed, for example, as a hollow cylindrical sieve body, the cutting tool can be U-shaped or L-shaped.
- the base can rest on the end face and the legs on the outer surface of the sieve element.
- One of the legs can have a cutting edge, while the other leg has brush-shaped cleaning elements.

- Fig. 2 shows a device according to the invention for a roof drain in side view and partially cut and

- the sieve element 10 has webs 16, 18, 20, 22 with meshes 24 in between; 26; 28 on.
- a web 16, 18, 20, 22 has a trapezoidal cross section, in which the edges facing the cutting tool 12 and lying at an acute angle as cutting edges 30, 32; 34, 36; 38, 40; 42 are formed. Due to the trapezoidal cross-section of the webs 16, 18, 20, 22, the clear width of an intermediate mesh 24; 26; 28 from the top of the screen element 10 to the bottom.
