Abstract

Für einen flüssigkeitsgekühlten Querstrom-Zylinderkopf für Brennkraftmaschinen mit in Reihe angeordneten Zylindern mit einem durch eine Deckwand gegen ein integriertes Steuergehäuse abgeschlossenen Kühlmittelraum wird zur Erzielung einer gusstechnisch einfachen Ausgestaltung bei hoher Steifigkeit und gezielter Kühlmittelführung vorgeschlagen, dass in der Deckwand zwischen diametralen Schraubenpfeifen und jeweils querab benachbarten Schachtrohren für Zündkerzen oder Einspritzdüsen eine Mulde angeordnet ist, die mittels einer Querwand zwischen den diametralen Schraubenpfeifen mit dem Zylinderkopfboden in Verbindung steht, wobei von der Querwand in Richtung Deckwand ansteigend ausgebildete Wandabschnitte der Mulde als Strömungsleitflächen dienen.
