  • the method of blowing the preform according to the preferred embodiment of the invention consists in not stretching said preform in the mold so that the height of the container produced is equivalent to the height of the preform. The side walls of said preform are therefore deformed radially only. It has been found that it is advantageous to blow these preforms with a deformation rate of less than 2.
