EL POLVO DE CIRCONIA SE PRODUCE POR ENFRIAMIENTO RAPIDO PREFERIBLEMENTE ENFRIANDO UNA FUSION DE CIRCONIA CON O SIN UN AGENTE ESTABILIZADOR TAL COMO OXIDO DE ITRIO. LAS ARENAS ABRASIVAS ASI OBTENIDAS SON UTILES EN EL RECTIFICADO PESADO DE ACERO ISOXIDABLE Y DE ACERO AL CARBONO.
