UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE SINTESIS DE UN POLIMERO POLIISOPRENICO CON PROPIEDADES COMO EL CAUCHO. DIVERSOS COMPUESTOS, TALES COMO ETERES ALQUIL TETRAHIDROFURFURILICOS, PUEDEN SER EMPLEADOS PARA MODIFICAR POLIMERIZACIONES ANIONICAS DE MONOMEROS DE DIENOS CONJUGADOS. ESTOS MODIFICADORES PUEDEN SER EMPLEADOS PARA POLIMERIZAR MONOMEROS DE ISOPRENO PARA PRODUCIR POLIISOPRENO CON UN ALTO NIVEL DE 3, 4-POLIISOPRENO, A VELOCIDADES DE POLIMERACION EXCELENTES. ESTO ESTA EN CONTRAPOSICION CON LOS MODIFICADORES TALES COMO LA TETRAMETILETILENODIAMINA QUE SE EMPLEAN TIPICAMENTE PARA MODIFICAR TALES POLIMERIZACIONES.
