SE DESCRIBE UN PROCESO PARA PREPARAR UN POLIMERO METIL METACRILATO DE ALTA CALIDAD MEDIANTE LA POLIMERIZACION DE UN MONOMERO QUE COMPRENDE METIL METACRILATO COMO COMPONENTE PRINCIPAL EN PRESENCIA DE UN INICIADOR DE POLIMERIZACION RADICAL Y UN AGENTE DE TRANSFERENCIA DE CADENA; DICHO PROCESO COMPRENDE EL PASO DE SUMINISTRAR UNA PEQUEÑA CANTIDAD DE METANOL COMO DISOLVENTE, Y EL PASO DE LLEVAR A CABO LA POLIMERIZACION EN UNA DISOLUCION UNIFORME A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 90 Y 180 C TAL QUE LA CONVERSION DEL MONOMERO PUEDE ESTAR EN EL INTERVALO ENTRE 40 Y 90 MOL%. DE ACUERDO CON ESTE PROCESO, PUEDE OBTENERSE EL POLIMERO DE METIL METACRILATO, EL CUAL REDUCE LA GENERACION DE ESTRIAS DE PLATA, VACIOS, COLOREADO, OLOR Y SIMILARES DURANTE EL PERIODO DE MOLDEO TERMICO.
