LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA FABRICACION DE UNA PULPA A PARTIR DE UN MATERIAL CELULOSICO, EN EL QUE EL MATERIAL SE MEZCLA CON ACIDO FORMICO COMO DISOLVENTE Y A APROXIMADAMENTE LA TEMPERATURA DE EBULLICION DEL DISOLVENTE SE CALIENTA A REFLUJO. COMO MATERIAL CELULOSICO SE PUEDEN UTILIZAR PLANTAS ANUALES, MADERA DE ARBOLES FRONDOSOS Y CONIFERAS. EN UNA VARIANTE DEL PROCEDIMIENTO, EL MATERIAL CELULOSICO CALIENTA LIGERAMENTE A REFLUJO Y A CONTINUACION SE AÑADE LENTA Y ESENCIALMENTE SIN APORTE DE ENERGIA EXTERNA PEROXIDO DE HIDROGENO EN UNA CANTIDAD EXACTA PREVIAMENTE DETERMINADA Y DE FORMA CONSTANTE. ESTA VARIANTE DEL PROCEDIMIENTO SE PUEDE REPETIR DISMINUYENDO LA TEMPERATURA DE COCCION. LA PULPA ASI OBTENIDA SE USA PREFERENTEMENTE PARA LA PRODUCCION DE CELULOSA, ESPECIALMENTE PARA LA FABRICACION DE PAPEL O CARTON. SEGUN LA INVENCION, LA LIGNINA DISUELTA DEL MATERIAL CELULOSICO TAMBIEN SE VUELVE A UTILIZAR, AISLANDOSE DESPUES DE LA SEPARACION DE LA PULPA DEL DISOLVENTE MEDIANTE PRECIPITACION EN AGUA. LA LIGNINA ASI OBTENIDA SE PUEDE UTILIZAR COMO NUEVO MATERIAL DE CONSTRUCCION, COMO MATERIAL DE RELLENO O COMO MATERIAL DE PARTIDA DE SUSTANCIAS AROMATICAS.
