Abstract
Un método para preparar una composición que comprende acetato de glatiramer purificado, que comprende: polimerizar N-carboxianhídridos de L-alanina, L-ácido glutámico protegido con bencilo, L-lisina y L-tirosina protegidas con ácido trifluoroacético (TFA) para generar un copolímero protegido (Compuesto Intermedio-1); tratar el Compuesto Intermedio-1 para despolimerizar parcialmente el copolímero protegido y desproteger los grupos protegidos con bencilo generando con ello un producto parcialmente despolimerizado (Compuesto Intermedio-2); tratar el Compuesto Intermedio-2 para desproteger las lisinas protegidas con TFA generando con ello acetato de glatiramer; y purificar el acetato de glatiramer para crear acetato de glatiramer, en donde está presente agua durante al menos una parte del paso de despolimerización, en donde el agua presente durante al menos una parte del paso de despolimerización se controla de modo que esté dentro de un intervalo predeterminado.
