Abstract
Un sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil que comprende: una pantalla de visualización electrónica de imágenes (40); un microprocesador (42) acoplado a dicha pantalla de visualización (40) para la visualización de datos desplazables sobre la misma y para recibir señales interactivas de la misma; un medio temporizador (43) asociado con dicho microprocesador (42) para proporcionar capacidad temporizadora para el mismo; una fuente de datos desplazables capaces de ser desplazados sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40); instrucciones de programa para el toque dactilar asociadas con dicho microprocesador (42) para detectar la velocidad y la dirección de un contacto táctil dactilar con dicha pantalla de visualización (40); caracterizado porque dichas instrucciones de programa para el toque dactilar asociadas con dicho microprocesador (42) están diseñadas también para detectar la duración de un contacto táctil dactilar con dicha pantalla de visualización (40); y porque dicho sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil comprende, además: instrucciones de programa para el movimiento de desplazamiento asociadas con dicho microprocesador (42) que responden a dicha duración de dicho contacto táctil dactilar para que, i) cuando se detecte el movimiento de dicho contacto táctil dactilar a lo largo la superficie de dicha pantalla de visualización (40) durante un periodo con una duración menor que un primer tiempo mínimo predeterminado y mayor que un segundo tiempo mínimo predeterminado, se muevan dichos datos sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40) en correspondencia con el movimiento de dicho contacto táctil dactilar y ii) después de una subsiguiente retirada de dicho contacto táctil dactilar de dicha pantalla de visualización (40), se conviertan la velocidad y dirección de movimiento detectados de dicho contacto táctil dactilar en el correspondiente movimiento de desplazamiento inicial de dichos datos, en que dichas instrucciones de programa para el movimiento de desplazamiento comprenden, además, instrucciones para seleccionar un artículo tocado en respuesta a un toque dactilar sobre dicho artículo i) durante un periodo con una duración menor que dicho primer tiempo mínimo predeterminado y ii) mientras no se detecta ningún movimiento de dicho contacto táctil dactilar durante dicho periodo.

Sistema y procedimiento de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil 5 ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓN
1. Campo de la invención
Esta invención se refiere en general a visualizaciones de datos informáticos en forma de líneas secuenciales de 10 símbolos que normalmente comprenden listas de palabras y números y, más específicamente, se refiere al uso y control de formas electrónicas de tales visualizaciones.
2. Descripción de la técnica relacionada
15 Se ha hecho muy conocido visualizar listas de palabras y números en pantallas de visualización electrónica para el
fácil acceso de los usuarios. A menudo, la longitud de tales listas se extiende más allá de las dimensiones de la
pantalla electrónica y, en tales casos, se ha hecho también muy conocido hacer que la imagen de la lista “se desplace” más allá de la pantalla, de manera que una línea de texto que comprende palabras, números u otros símbolos parece trasladarse desde un borde de la pantalla hasta el otro hasta que una sección de la lista o porción 20 de una línea deseadas, aparecen en la pantalla.
Es sabido que los sistemas y procedimientos que se usan actualmente para controlar el movimiento de desplazamiento de la imagen de la pantalla están sujetos a numerosas limitaciones y desventajas. Por ejemplo, en un sistema puede colocarse un cursor en un borde de la pantalla y después moverse hacia el borde opuesto 25 mientras se mantiene pulsado un botón seleccionado del “ratón”, con lo que se capta y “arrastra” la imagen de la
pantalla en la dirección deseada. Es bien sabido que tal desplazamiento de la imagen de la pantalla es lento e
incómodo, excepto en el caso de movimientos relativos relativamente pequeños. Otro sistema de uso actual activa un movimiento de “desplazamiento” automático continuo de la imagen cuando el cursor se coloca sobre una porción específica de la imagen, mientras se presiona un botón seleccionado del ratón. Ello requiere mantener pulsado el 30 botón seleccionado hasta que se visualiza la porción deseada de la imagen de la pantalla. Un sistema relacionado en uso actualmente varía la velocidad del movimiento de desplazamiento de acuerdo con la posición del cursor con respecto al borde de la pantalla. Todos estos sistemas de control que responden a la posición del cursor están sujetos a limitaciones similares como el desorden en la pantalla, la falta de una apariencia visual estética y la necesidad de manipulación y manejo del dispositivo de ratón.

El documento EP 0880091 A2 describe un procedimiento para desplazar la información presentada en el visualizador de un teléfono móvil. De acuerdo con esta aplicación, se mueve un medio de señalización sobre la zona activa del visualizador y la parte visualizada de la información en el visualizador se desplaza en la dirección del movimiento del medio de señalización. El medio de señalización también puede moverse sobre una superficie táctil. 40 La información sigue desplazándose en la dirección del movimiento cuando el medio de señalización se mueve fuera de la zona activa del visualizador. Si se aplica un dedo sobre 30 la superficie de la pantalla durante un periodo de tiempo más breve, por ejemplo, durante un periodo menor que un tiempo mínimo fijado, el toque dactilar puede considerarse como la “selección” de un artículo o “cosa” correspondiente a la imagen visualizada en la posición tocada. Aún más, si se hace que el toque dactilar sobre la pantalla se mueva junto con la visualización, pero a un ritmo más lento que el ritmo de movimiento actual en ese momento, la visualización se ralentizará a un ritmo correspondiente al movimiento del dedo en el momento de 35 interrupción del contacto.

Además, si se piensa que la velocidad de desplazamiento es baja en un punto considerado demasiado alejado de la posición deseada en el desplazamiento, la velocidad de desplazamiento puede aumentarse tanto como sea posible simplemente tocando la pantalla de nuevo para impartir un “nuevo” movimiento a la visualización.
55 En cualquier punto o momento deseado mientras tiene lugar un movimiento de desplazamiento, este puede detenerse por completo, de nuevo, de una forma aparentemente “natural”, simplemente tocando la pantalla con el dedo mientras este se mantiene sustancialmente estacionario durante un periodo de tiempo predeterminado. Sin embargo, los expertos en la materia entenderán fácilmente que la presente invención puede practicarse en otras realizaciones que no se ajustan exactamente a los 25 detalles expuestos en este documento, sin salirse significativamente del espíritu y el alcance de esta descripción. Además, en este contexto, y por motivos de brevedad y claridad, se han omitido las descripciones detalladas de aparatos, circuitos y metodología de los aparatos bien conocidos, para evitar detalles innecesarios y posible confusión.
30 En referencia ahora al diagrama de bloques de la figura 1 de los dibujos, puede observarse que, de acuerdo con esta realización, el procedimiento de operación de un sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil 10 (como se muestra en la figura 1) comienza en la etapa 100 con la detección del toque de un dedo sobre una pantalla de visualización electrónica 100a que contiene una visualización de datos estacionaria, la determinación del periodo de tiempo durante el que el dedo está en contacto con la pantalla 100b y la determinación de si el dedo se 35 mueve o permanece estacionario 100c. La tecnología y la metodología para la detección y la determinación de los valores apropiados de la información del tipo descrito en este documento son bien conocidas para los expertos en la materia y no se describen ni discuten en más detalle en esta memoria descriptiva.
Si no se produce ningún movimiento y el contacto táctil continúa durante menos de un tiempo mínimo 40 predeterminado, el toque se trata en la etapa 100 como una “selección” del término de datos tocado y el sistema continúa con la ruta de “selección” 102. En la etapa 106, la función temporizadora asociada con el sistema de la invención mide el tiempo mientras continúa la acción de desplazamiento y el sistema empieza a disminuir la velocidad de desplazamiento con un ritmo controlado, desde su valor inicial, que queda determinado por la velocidad del toque dactilar, a cero o hasta que la velocidad se ha reducido hasta cualquier velocidad mínima predeterminada deseada. Es decir, en la etapa 108, el sistema detecta el toque de un dedo 100a sobre la pantalla de visualización electrónica, determina el periodo de tiempo 100b que el dedo está en contacto con la pantalla y determina si el dedo se mueve o permanece estacionario 100b. Si el toque es estacionario y el contacto continúa durante menos de un tiempo mínimo 40 predeterminado, el toque dactilar en la etapa 108 se trata a la vez como (1) una “selección” del término de datos tocado y (2) una instrucción para finalizar el movimiento de desplazamiento. En este caso, el movimiento de desplazamiento finaliza y el sistema vuelve a la ruta de “selección” 102, mencionada anteriormente. Por otro lado, si el toque es estacionario pero el contacto no continúa durante más del tiempo mínimo, el procedimiento trata el toque solamente como una instrucción para finalizar el movimiento de desplazamiento y no resulta en la “selección” de 45 ningún listado de datos que pueda haberse tocado. Cuando el movimiento de desplazamiento finaliza en estas circunstancias, el procedimiento vuelve al estado que existía antes de comenzar la etapa 100, en espera de “instrucciones” en forma de señales de entrada; es decir, en espera de la selección de un artículo visualizado o el inicio del movimiento de desplazamiento.
50 Una vez más, debe hacerse hincapié en que la duración del contacto de un toque dactilar estacionario sobre la pantalla sirve como distinción entre un toque de “selección” y un toque de “parada del desplazamiento”. Aunque se ha afirmado anteriormente que un toque dactilar relativamente prolongado mientras tiene lugar el movimiento de desplazamiento sirve a la vez como señal de “selección” y de “parada del movimiento”, es evidente que el procedimiento puede ajustarse fácilmente de manera que un toque dactilar durante el proceso de desplazamiento 55 actúe solamente como señal de “parada del movimiento” con independencia de la duración del toque; esto sería una protección frente a la posibilidad de “selecciones” involuntarias resultantes de toques inadvertidamente prolongados que solo pretendían “parar” el desplazamiento.
En contraste con el toque estacionario de la etapa 108, si el sistema detecta el movimiento del toque dactilar sobre 60 la pantalla, el procedimiento vuelve a la etapa 104, para convertir de nuevo la velocidad y la dirección de movimiento
del toque en un movimiento de desplazamiento de los datos visualizados y reiniciar el proceso de desplazamiento. Como anteriormente, la etapa 104 pasa entonces directamente a la etapa 106.
En la realización del sistema ilustrado en la figura 2, se muestra que el sistema comprende un simple aparato 5 ordenador personal con una pantalla de visualización 10, una unidad central de procesamiento 12 y un teclado 14 para la entrada de instrucciones manuales en la unidad central de procesamiento 12. De acuerdo con esta convención, se entenderá que la unidad de procesamiento 12 incluye una unidad de memoria electrónica interna (no se muestra) de diseño y capacidades convencionales. Por consiguiente, para los fines de esta descripción, puede asumirse que la unidad de memoria interna es la fuente de una visualización de datos desplazable capaz de 10 aparecer en la pantalla de visualización 10, que es accesible para la mano o un dispositivo de puntero, representados aquí estilísticamente por la silueta de una mano 16.
Durante el uso, el ordenador se ajusta de manera bien conocida para visualizar los datos desplazables en la pantalla 10 y dicha pantalla se toca con una mano/dedo o puntero 16, que se mueve hacia abajo a lo largo de la pantalla 15 para impartir un movimiento inicial de “desplazamiento” hacia abajo a la visualización de datos. El software en el ordenador responde interactivamente al contacto con la pantalla para crear el movimiento de desplazamiento deseado de la visualización y la instalación temporizadora interna propia de un aparato ordenador semejante, en cooperación con la programación de la unidad de procesamiento 12, responde ahora al inicio del movimiento disminuyendo gradualmente la velocidad de desplazamiento, como se explica anteriormente en este documento. 20 Cuando se ve o se aproxima un punto deseado en la visualización, el usuario puede aplicar la mano o un puntero 16 a la pantalla para finalizar el movimiento de desplazamiento. Dado que el movimiento de desplazamiento no implica ninguna parte móvil con masa real o simulada, es posible detener el movimiento de la visualización instantáneamente, sin ninguna dificultad ni consideración de consecuencias por fuerzas inerciales.
25 Por consiguiente, se entenderá ahora que el sistema y procedimiento de esta realización facilita una estrategia rápida, conveniente y de sensación natural para acceder a visualizaciones de datos del tipo de desplazamiento en la pantalla de un ordenador.
En la realización representada en la figura 3, se muestra que el sistema de esta realización comprende los 30 elementos esenciales del aparato ordenador de la figura 2, sin tener la configuración de un ordenador. Es decir, aquí se muestra que los componentes básicos del sistema de esta realización comprenden un microprocesador 42 que, a su vez, está acoplado con un teclado 44, un medio temporizador 43 y una pantalla de visualización 40. Todos estos componentes funcionan de la misma manera que las partes correspondientes en la realización de la figura 2, con el microprocesador 42 y el medio temporizador 43 desempeñando aquí conjuntamente la misma función que la unidad 35 central de procesamiento 12 en la figura 2.
Aunque se ha ilustrado y descrito una realización preferida de la invención, los expertos en la materia apreciarán que ahora es posible visualizar fácilmente diversas otras formas y realizaciones sin salirse significativamente del espíritu y alcance de la invención descrita en este documento y expuesta en las reivindicaciones acompañantes.

Claims (12)
- REIVINDICACIONES1. Un sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil que comprende:5 una pantalla de visualización electrónica de imágenes (40);un microprocesador (42) acoplado a dicha pantalla de visualización (40) para la visualización de datos desplazables sobre la misma y para recibir señales interactivas de la misma;10 un medio temporizador (43) asociado con dicho microprocesador (42) para proporcionar capacidad temporizadora para el mismo;una fuente de datos desplazables capaces de ser desplazados sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40);15 instrucciones de programa para el toque dactilar asociadas con dicho microprocesador (42) para detectar la velocidad y la dirección de un contacto táctil dactilar con dicha pantalla de visualización (40);caracterizado porquedichas instrucciones de programa para el toque dactilar asociadas con dicho microprocesador (42) están diseñadas 20 también para detectar la duración de un contacto táctil dactilar con dicha pantalla de visualización (40); y porque dicho sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil comprende, además:instrucciones de programa para el movimiento de desplazamiento asociadas con dicho microprocesador (42) que responden a dicha duración de dicho contacto táctil dactilar para que,25i)cuando se detecte el movimiento de dicho contacto táctil dactilar a lo largo la superficie de dicha pantalla de visualización (40) durante un periodo con una duración menor que un primer tiempo mínimo predeterminado y mayor 30 que un segundo tiempo mínimo predeterminado, se muevan dichos datos sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40) en correspondencia con el movimiento de dicho contacto táctil dactilar yii)35 después de una subsiguiente retirada de dicho contacto táctil dactilar de dicha pantalla de visualización (40), se conviertan la velocidad y dirección de movimiento detectados de dicho contacto táctil dactilar en el correspondiente movimiento de desplazamiento inicial de dichos datos,en que dichas instrucciones de programa para el movimiento de desplazamiento comprenden, además, 40 instrucciones para seleccionar un artículo tocado en respuesta a un toque dactilar sobre dicho artículoi)durante un periodo con una duración menor que dicho primer tiempo mínimo predeterminado y 45ii)mientras no se detecta ningún movimiento de dicho contacto táctil dactilar durante dicho periodo.50 2. El sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil de la reivindicación 1, en quedichas instrucciones de programa para el movimiento de desplazamiento comprenden además instrucciones para mover dichos datos sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40) en correspondencia con el movimiento del contacto táctil dactilar, en respuesta al movimiento que sigue a un toque dactilar con una duración estacionaria mayor que dicho segundo tiempo mínimo predeterminado y menor que dicho primer tiempo mínimo predeterminado, siempre 55 que no se interrumpa el contacto con la pantalla.
- 3. El sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil de la reivindicación 1 o 2, en quedichas instrucciones de programa para el movimiento de desplazamiento comprenden además instrucciones para mover un artículo seleccionado táctilmente con respecto a una visualización de datos estacionaria en 60 correspondencia con el movimiento de dicho toque dactilar, en respuesta al movimiento que sigue a un toquedactilar estacionario con una duración mayor que dicho primer tiempo mínimo predeterminado.
- 4. El sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil de una de las reivindicaciones precedentes, que comprende además instrucciones de programa de disminución temporal asociadas con dicho5 microprocesador (42) para reducir el ritmo de desplazamiento de dichos datos sobre dicha pantalla táctil (40) hasta que el movimiento se finaliza.
- 5. El sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil de la reivindicación 4, que comprende, además, instrucciones de programa para la detención del movimiento asociadas con dicho10 microprocesador (42) para finalizar el desplazamiento de dichos datos sobre dicha pantalla táctil (40) la primera vez que se produce cualquier señal del grupo de señales que comprende:a) un toque dactilar sustancialmente estacionario sobre la pantalla de visualización durante un periodo mayor que un tiempo mínimo predeterminado y15b) una señal de fin de desplazamiento recibida de dicha fuente de datos.
- 6. El sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil de una de las reivindicaciones 4 o 5, en que dichas instrucciones de programa para el movimiento de desplazamiento comprenden además20 instrucciones para ralentizar el movimiento de dichos datos sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40) a un ritmo correspondiente al movimiento del dedo en el momento de interrupción del contacto, en respuesta al movimiento del dedo a un ritmo menor que el ritmo actual en ese momento de movimiento de los datos sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40) después de un toque dactilar con una duración estacionaria mayor que dicho segundo tiempo mínimo predeterminado y menor que dicho primer tiempo mínimo predeterminado.25
- 7. El sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil de la reivindicación 5, en que dichas instrucciones de programa para la detención del movimiento se encargan también de la primera vez que se produce:30 c) un toque dactilar sustancialmente estacionario sobre la pantalla de visualización (40) durante un periodo menor o igual que dicho tiempo mínimo predeterminado proporcionado para la finalización del desplazamiento de los datos sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40).
- 8. El sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil de la reivindicación 5, en que 35 dicho grupo de señales para finalizar el desplazamiento de los datos sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40)comprende, ademásd) una señal que indica que el ritmo de desplazamiento sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40) ha disminuido a un valor por debajo de un valor dado predeterminado.40
- 9. El sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil de la reivindicación 1, en que dicho microprocesador (42) y dicho medio temporizador (43) comprenden conjuntamente una unidad de procesamiento de un ordenador convencional.45 10. El sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil de la reivindicación 9, en quedicha fuente de datos desplazables comprende parte de la memoria de dicho ordenador convencional.
- 11. El sistema de desplazamiento de imágenes sobre una pantalla táctil de una de las reivindicacionesprecedentes, en que dichas instrucciones de programa para el movimiento de desplazamiento comprenden, 50 además, instrucciones para ignorar un contacto táctil dactilar y llevar el sistema a un estado “de espera”, en espera de más señales de entrada si no se produce ningún movimiento del contacto táctil dactilar mientras la visualización de datos está estacionaria y el contacto táctil dactilar continúa durante menos de dicho segundo tiempo mínimo predeterminado.55 12. Un procedimiento que controla la visualización de datos del tipo de desplazamiento sobre una pantallade visualización electrónica (40), en que dicho procedimiento comprende las etapas de:detección (100b) de la duración de un contacto táctil dactilar con la pantalla de visualización electrónica (40) que presenta los datos desplazables visualizados sobre la misma;detección (100c) de la velocidad y dirección de movimiento de dicho contacto táctil dactilar con dicha pantalla de visualización (40);i) cuando se detecta el movimiento de dicho contacto táctil dactilar a lo largo la superficie de dicha pantalla de 5 visualización (40) durante un periodo con una duración menor que un primer tiempo mínimo predeterminado y mayorque un segundo tiempo mínimo predeterminado, el movimiento de dichos datos sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40) en correspondencia con el movimiento de dicho contacto táctil dactilar,ii) después de una subsiguiente retirada de dicho contacto táctil dactilar de dicha pantalla de visualización (40), la 10 conversión de la velocidad y dirección de movimiento detectados de dicho contacto táctil dactilar en elcorrespondiente movimiento de desplazamiento inicial de dichos datos,iii) en que, cuando se detecta el contacto táctil dactilar de un artículo en dicha pantalla de visualización (40), sin movimiento de dicho contacto táctil dactilar, durante un periodo con una duración menor que dicho primer tiempo15 predeterminado, siempre que el contacto con la pantalla no se interrumpa, se selecciona dicho artículo.
- 13. El procedimiento que controla la visualización de datos del tipo de desplazamiento sobre una pantallade visualización electrónica de acuerdo con la reivindicación 12, dicho procedimiento comprende, además, las etapas de:20ralentización (106) de la velocidad de dicho movimiento de desplazamiento a partir de la velocidad inicial del mismo a un ritmo predeterminado; yfinalización de dicho movimiento de desplazamiento cuando se detecta una de las condiciones que comprenden el 25 siguiente grupo de condiciones:a) se detecta un contacto táctil dactilar sustancialmente estacionario con una duración mayor que un tiempo mínimo predeterminado,30 b) se recibe una señal de fin de desplazamiento de la fuente de los datos desplazables.
- 14. El procedimiento de control de la visualización de datos del tipo de desplazamiento sobre una pantallade visualización electrónica de acuerdo con las reivindicaciones 12 o 13, en que dicho procedimiento comprende la etapa adicional de la detección de un contacto táctil dactilar sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40) con una35 duración mayor que dicho segundo tiempo mínimo predeterminado y menor que dicho primer tiempo mínimo predeterminado y el movimiento subsiguiente de dichos datos sobre dicha pantalla de visualización (40) en correspondencia con el movimiento del contacto táctil dactilar.
- 15. El procedimiento de control de la visualización de datos del tipo de desplazamiento sobre una pantalla 40 de visualización electrónica de acuerdo con una de las reivindicaciones 12 a 14, en que dicho procedimientocomprende la etapa adicional (103) de la detección de un toque estacionario sobre dicha pantalla de visualización con una duración mayor que dicho segundo tiempo mínimo predeterminado y el movimiento subsiguiente de un artículo seleccionado táctilmente con respecto a la visualización de datos estacionaria en correspondencia con el movimiento del toque.45
