Abstract
Un dispositivo perfeccionado para tomografía por computador, que comprende una fuente de rayos X para generar un haz de rayos X plano, en forma de abanico, y un detector de rayos X que comprende una serie de elementos de detección que están dispuestos sobre un arco de circunferencia, siendo giratorios la fuente de rayos X y el detector de rayos X alrededor de un eje de rotación común que está dirigido transversalmente al plano del haz en forma de abanico, caracterizado porque la fuente de rayos X tiene una superficie emisora relativamente pequeña, teniendo los elementos de detección una superficie de entrada de radiación relativamente pequeña, siendo la distancia entre la superficie de entrada de radiación de los elementos de detección y el eje de rotación sustancialmente igual a la distancia entre la superficie emisora de la fuente de rayos X y el eje de rotación, siendo giratorios la fuente de rayos X y el detector de rayos X alrededor del eje de rotación sustancialmente con la misma velocidad angular, pero en sentidos opuestos.
