METODO Y SU CORRESPONDIENTE APARATO ANALIZADOR DE PARTICULAS. EL APARATO CONTIENE UN LASER FIJO QUE PRODUCE UN HAZ LUMINOSO DIRIGIDO HACIA UN DISPOSITIVO OPTICO ADAPTADO PARA REFLEJAR LUZ A TRAVES DE UNA HOJA DE UN MATERIAL QUE HA DE SER EXAMINADO. SE INCLUYE ADEMAS UN DISPOSITIVO PARA RECIBIR LA LUZ QUE HA PASADO A TRAVES DE LA HOJA DEL MATERIAL, ASI COMO UNA UNIDAD DE TRATAMIENTO DE SEÑALES Y OPCIONALMENTE UN DISPOSITIVO PARA PRESENTAR VISUALMENTE LAS SEÑALES GENERADAS Y TRATADAS. EL PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN CAPTAR LA LUZ POR FOTODIODOS QUE SE EXAMINAN EN CADA INTERVALO DE TIEMPO ALMACENADO LA INFORMACION EN MEMORIAS DE LECTURA/INSCRIPCION PARA OBTENER LA DIGITALIZACION DE LAS SILUETAS PROYECTADAS DE LAS PARTICULAS DE MATERIA. DICHAS SILUETAS SE SOMETEN A UN TRATAMIENTO ESTADISTICO PARA OBTENER CURVAS GRANULOMETRICAS.
