CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE 3 -ACETOXI-22,24-BISNORCOL-5-EN-22-AL CON UN REACTIVO DE FORMULA (II). LA REACCION SE LLEVA A CABO EN TETRAHIDROFURANO ENFRIANDO A -10 C, BAJO ATMOSFERA DE NITROGENO. EL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO SE SEPARA POR EXTRACCION CON ETER, SE CONCRETA, FILTRA Y PURIFICA POR RECRISTALIZACION EN UNA MEZCLA DE DICLOROMETANO/METANOL. ESTOS COMPUESTOS TIENEN APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS POR SU ACTIVIDAD PARA CONTROLAR LA HIPERCOLESTEROLEMIA.
