Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de mesure de longueurs de planches ou d autres objets longs. L'appareil selon l'invention comprend un convoyeur 1 sur lequel les objets 2 à mesurer sont transportés le long d'un plan 4, une zone de mesure 8 s'étendant transversalement audit plan 4, un dispositif d'exploration photo-électrique comprenant une caméra photo-sensible 19 agencée pour recevoir un rayonnement provenant de la zone de mesure le long d'un trajet de faisceau à grand angle traversant ladite zone de mesure 8 et coupant ledit plan 4,un dispositif électronique 30 relié à la caméra 19 une rangée de lampes 14 et un espace situé en-dessous dudit plan 4 et étant mis dans l'ombre afin de former un arrière-plan bien contrasté par rapport à l'objet éclairé. Application notamment à l'industrie du sciage.
