Abstract

L'invention concerne l'industrie des matières plastiques. Elle a pour objet une composition polymère se prêtant à la mise en oeuvre à l'état fondu qui comprend un mélange d'un polymère qui n'est pas une silicone et d'une résine de monoorganopolyasiloxane. En particulier, cette composition polymère a un indice d'oxygène de plus de 25 mesuré suivant la norme ASTM D2863-76 et une densité optique spécifique maximale de moins de 250 (sans flamme) ou de moins de 150 (avec flamme) mesurée suivant la norme ASTM F07.06 Draft n degrés 3. Cette composition polymère est préférée comme composition ignifugée dégageant peu de fumée qui convient pour la fabrication de fils et câbles électriques de sécurité utilisés en automobile et en aviation.
