Claims (9)

  1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von BMY-41950 der Formel wobei man einen BMY-41950-produzierenden Stamm von Streptomyces staurosporeus in einem wäßrigen Nährmedium, das assimilierbare Kohlenstoff- und Stickstoffquellen enthält, unter submersen aeroben Bedingungen kultiviert, bis eine wesentliche Menge BMY-41950 von dem Organismus in dem Kulturmedium hergestellt worden ist, und man BMY-41950 aus dem Kulturmedium im wesentlichen frei von mitproduzierten Verbindungen gewinnt.
  2. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei der Organismus Streptomyces staurosporeus ATCC 55006, oder eine BMY-41950-produzierende Mutante oder Variante davon ist.
  3. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines pharmazeutischen Mittels, umfassend eine wirksame antimikrobielle Menge oder eine wirksame tumor-inhibierende Menge an BMY-41950, wobei man eine wirksame antimikrobielle oder tumor-inhibierende Menge an BMY-41950 in einen pharmazeutisch akzeptablen Träger oder ein pharmazeutisch akzeptables Verdünnungsmittel aufnimmt.
  4. Verwendung von BMY-41950 zur Herstellung eines pharmazeutischen Mittels zur Behandlung einer mikrobiellen Infektion.
  5. Verwendung von BMY-41950 zur Herstellung eines pharmazeutischen Mittels zur Behandlung eines malignen Tumors.
  6. Verfahren zur Herstellung einer biologisch reinen Kultur des Streptomyces hygroscopicus-Stammes C39280-450-9 (ATCC 53730), wobei man eine Kultur bereitstellt, die in der Lage ist, das Antibiotikum BMY-41950 in einer isolierbaren Menge durch Kultivierung in einem wäßrigen Nährmedium, das assimilierbare Kohlenstoff- und Stickstoffquellen enthält, zu produzieren.
