Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.金属ベースの組成物を、同時に複数の多孔性基体に組み込む方法であって 、以下の工程: ・金属ベースの組成物の供給源を構成する層と接触させて交互に配置された複 数の多孔性基体を含む少なくとも一つのバッチを構成する(金属ベースの組成物 の供給源を構成する各層は、金属ベースの組成物で形成された大部分の相と、溶 融状態にある金属ベースの組成物を保持および排出する構造体を形成するのに適 した小部分の相とを含む)工程;および ・各供給源から溶融状態にある金属ベースの組成物が、供給源に隣接している 基体もしくは各基体の隣接した面を介して、基体の内部に向かって移動すること ができるよう、バッチを金属ベースの組成物の溶融温度よりも高い温度に加熱す る工程 を含むことを特徴とする方法。 2.バッチが、金属ベースの組成物の供給源と多孔性基体が交互に垂直に積み 重ねられたスタックにより形成されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載 の方法。 3.金属ベースの組成物の供給源を含んでいる、基体の間の間隙に、硬質のス ペーサーが配列されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲2に記載の方法。 4.金属ベースの組成物が、ケイ素、チタン、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、お よびバナジウムから選ばれる一もしくはそれ以上の金属を含むことを特徴とする 請求の範囲1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。 5.金属ベースの組成物が、50%以上のケイ素原子を含み、残りが、ホウ素 、アルミニウム、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、チタン、モリブデン、タングステ ン、およびタンタルを含む元素の中の少なくとも一つによって構成されている、 ケイ素ベースの組成物であることを特徴とする請求の範囲4に記載の方法。 6.金属ベースの組成物が、粉末の形態で、金属ベースの組成物の供給源に挿 入されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。 7.金属ベースの組成物の供給源を形成するために用いられる小部分の相が、 硬質の気泡状構造体であることを特徴とする請求の範囲1〜6のいずれかに記載 の方法。 8.小部分の相がハニカム構造体であることを特徴とする請求の範囲7に記載 の方法。 9.金属ベースの組成物の供給源が、小部分の相のセルを粉末の金属ベースの 組成物で満たすことによって形成されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲7もし くは8に記載の方法。 10.金属ベースの組成物の供給源を形成するために用いられる小部分の相が 、三次元的なアレイを構成していることを特徴とする請求の範囲1〜6のいずれ かに記載の方法。 11.小部分の相が、三次元的なアレイを形成する分割され、かつ、金属ベー スの組成物中に分布している要素で作られていることを特徴とする請求の範囲1 0に記載の方法。 12.分割された要素が、金属ベースの組成物の供給源中、好ましくは体積割 合で20%よりも少ない割合で存在することを特徴とする請求の範囲11に記載 の方法。 13.三次元的なアレイが、繊維で形成されていることを特徴とする請求の範 囲11もしくは12に記載の方法。 14.三次元的なアレイが、短繊維で形成されていることを特徴とする請求の 範囲13に記載の方法。 15.金属ベースの組成物の供給源が、金属ベースの組成物の懸濁液の中にて 分割された形態の要素を混合することによって形成されることを特徴とする請求 の範囲10〜14のいずれかに記載の方法。 16.混合物が、更に有機バインダーを含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲15 に記載の方法。 17.有機バインダーが、混合物中、重量割合で5%よりも少ない割合で存在 することを特徴とする請求の範囲16に記載の方法。 18.金属ベースの組成物の供給源を構成する各層が、複数のユニット供給源 で構成されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲9〜17のいずれかに記載の方法 。 19.金属ベースの組成物の供給源が、型で成形された成形体から成ることを 特徴とする請求の範囲9〜18のいずれかに記載の方法。 20.基体と接することになる成形体の面が、バッチの中において基体の隣接 する面の形に対して相補的である形を与えられていることを特徴とする請求の範 囲19に記載の方法。 21.小部分の相が、炭素、炭化ケイ素、窒化ケイ素、ならびに、加熱工程の 間に炭素、炭化ケイ素、もしくは窒化ケイ素に転換されるのに適した炭素、炭化 ケイ素、および窒化ケイ素の前駆体から選ばれる材料から成ることを特徴とする 請求の範囲1〜20のいずれかに記載の方法。 22.炭素を含む多孔性基体のケイ化物化処理のための請求の範囲5〜21の いずれかに記載の方法。 23.多孔性基体が、炭素−炭素複合材料から成ることを特徴とする請求の範 囲22に記載の方法。 24.多孔性基体が、化学的蒸気浸透により得られた熱分解炭素で構成された 第一のマトリックス相と、樹脂コークスで構成された第二のマトリックス相を含 む炭素マトリックスを有する炭素−炭素複合材料から成ることを特徴とする請求 の範囲23に記載の方法。 25.ケイ化物化された基体の中の残留遊離ケイ素を転換させるために、後処 理を実施することを特徴とする請求の範囲22もしくは23に記載の方法。 26.後処理をメタンの存在下で実施することを特徴とする請求の範囲25に 記載の方法。 27.多孔性基体の小孔空間を充填するための請求の範囲1〜21のいずれか に記載の方法。 28.基体が処理される度合いが、金属ベースの組成物の供給源の厚さを選択 することによって調節されることを特徴とする請求の範囲22〜27のいずれか に記載の方法。 29.金属ベースの組成物を組み込む前に、フィラーを基体に組み込むことを 特徴とする請求の範囲22〜28のいずれかに記載の方法。 30.基体のある部分を選択的に処理することを特徴とする請求の範囲22〜 29のいずれかに記載の方法。
